My website dropped down from second position to 95.

I created 30 web 2.0 pages with a spun article as first tier and then I created 18000 blog comments as second tier and pinged the first tier.

What should I do?

Do some more back linking I would think. My guess is that this move is only temporary. You have started the Google dance.

So, you created 30 Web 2.0 pages with a "high quality" spun article, or a really crappy spun article?

You created 18,000 blog comments which had value, or 18,000 blog comments were produced with a tool which left a footprint as big as Texas saying I'm trying to manipulate Google SERP's?

Are you monitoring your site using Google's Webmaster Tools and paying attention to any of their recommendations?

Just something you might want to consider...about 3 or 4 high quality, in-content links, from PR4 or PR5 sites would probably blow away your 18,000 PR0 blog comments...plus get an Authority bonus instead of a "we better hit this baby with the panda formula" bonus...

18 000 blog comments, wow. Are You mad?

Google wants you to cool down. Keep working on the backlinks, and make it all pure quality. Eventually Google will let you into the game again... Just have patience..

You created your own problems by spamming your backlinks.

The good news is, low quality links can be fixed with a few high PR backlinks.

It's going to take some time for Google to sort out your 18k crappy links, build about 20 higher PR links (PR5-6) then leave the backlinks alone, stop messing with it for about a month.

Once the dust settles only build higher PR quality links, it doesn't take very many for an average competition keyword.

Stop with the crappy links, or keep doing it & come back here once a month asking the same question "What happend?".

Problem is I am going to bet that more than half the people reading that advice are going to think that what you mean is just get some high PR blog comments to add to the blast and drop a link on such a site with about two hundred other comments.

Wait for few days and when your keyword position settle down start backlinking. But try to do manual backlink don't try which you did before. Try to get good quality backlinks with manual posting and following the rules...

      I am not so crazy!

Blog comments is the tier 2 that point to the tier 1 (web 2.0) that point to my website.

However this is the first time that it happens.. and I also discovered that the website has been indexed with the title and description of another website on a different niche (?!?!) and there is a 500 internal server error.

Social Bookmarking can be just as harmful, believe me. Key is not to rush anything.

When I have to deal with a Google penalty, I usually do more link building. But no more spam. Just a few high/very high quality backlinks.
Go slow! I know you might be in a hurry to get back on top, but you don't want to rush the process!

The 18,000 blog comments thats bit extreme. Im in a similar position and all I can say is dont stress!

The most recent Panda smashed all my sites pages from pos 1-5 rankings to pos 50-70's... Went from 10,000 backlinks prior to the latest update to 2,100 post update and now a week later webmaster tools shows 42,000 backlinks. At the time of the update my site had a tech problem and was all screwed up, including the sitemap was destroyed. I think this + Panda is the reason.

I just read through their quality guidelines, watched Matt Cutts latest video and made sure everything was in line. It seems fine to me, so instead of stressing Im just building more links high pr, relevant pages as per normal and waiting it out assuming that the Google Panda is just a big Google dance.

On another note I checked the sites on page one for the niche and I must say if Google thinks these are the best results they are on some nice drugs, crazy

For those of you with penalties, is it only the one site, or several...and do you feel that it is an algorithmic penalty or a manual penalty?

One of my best money making site has been hit by Google for a -60 position for all keywords. The lesson i have learned that:
    1. Do not do too many blog comment with your exact anchor text in a short time
2.Use various anchor text for your site, It is very dangerous to use one single anchor text for site optimization.

All people should be careful, this happens several time for me and my friends.

Add some quality content on your website then google may bring your site back.. Look backlinks are not in our hands and sometimes our competitors can blast thousands of backlinks and this can penalize the site however it wont happens always because google knows the fact about competitors blasting links so they will check the on page factors more than the offpage..

My advise order some quality content from quality writer, calm down for a week and then get some high PR quality backlinks just around 10 to 15 and wait for a week for the results.

    That should help you.

    Thanks,
