I doubt many people will share niche ideas but the best tip I can give you is dont forget to use in text links. Many people get wrapped up in linking pictures and adding buy now buttons (which do get some clicks) but you will most likely find most of your clicks come from in text links....

    - Click here for to learn more about this product.

    - Amazon.com has the best price on this item and free shipping too! (if the item has free shipping of course)

Links like those examples will get you many more clicks than your other links.

Good luck...holiday season is close so there are a lot of opportunities if you do your homework and find good niches.

thats really the only "trick" to amazon marketing is using in text links. Aside from that provide good information and make good recommendations and you'll do fine if you can drive some targeted traffic

Looks like a bunch of trolls have tried to hijack this thread with ridiculous, unqualified statements that Google hates Amazon sites.

That's absolute rubbish. Google won't give you any love if you have a poor quality site whether that be an Amazon site or any other type of site, but there is no evidence at all that it is penalizing Amazon sites.

My Amazon sites are sitting very well on page 1 (and have been that way for some time)

I guess if your Amazon sites are using those auto generated content Amazon plugin, probably Google doesn't like it after panda update.

All the product description is just coming from Amazon product database - duplicated content.

Thanks for all the great ideas.
