Hey everyone,

have have made a gardening blog on blogger.com with 3 adsense HTML/Java boxes on the page. 1 under the header and 2 in the left side collum. When i pull up my blog, on the main page all the adsense advertising is related to blogs and blog templates, but when i pull up one of the post i have done the adsense ads are totally 100% on topic.

Could someone please help me in this matter. maybe its some code i need to change or maybe i need to set some settings up in my adsense account.

many thanks

How old is your blog? How many posts are there on the home page? It is possible that your contents and keywords are not enough to have related ads. If that's the case, then I suggest you add more contents with optimized keywords.

Furthermore, if your blog is new and has no sufficient search engine traffic yet then it is not advisable to put ads.

    Hope that helps.

      Hey Richniche,

my blog is a week old and i have my posts set to one post per page. it does not matter if i have 1 post per page or 5 it still comes up with the same ads relating to blogs and templates and alike. im pretty sure it is not keywords as when i click on the post link that is on the main page it goes to the actual post and that post as relevent ads for the topic content. maybe its the code? not sure.

Why do u suggest that i dont put ads on my page when first starting up? does it really matter to wait or not?

      thanks heaps for your help.

I really assume that your blog is new as this is the usual problem for new blog, and even happened to me before.

Honestly speaking, I don't suggest to put Google Adsense on a new blog. This is because a new blog will most likely not yet receive search engine traffic. Social traffic - from fellow bloggers and social friends probably is what you will get.

Therefore, Google might think that your ad clicks (if there would be) will come from your friends, and suspected as click fraud. Your account might be suspended. Furthermore, it will take around 667 pageviews to make $1 with an average of 3% CTR (3 ad clicks per 100 pageviews).

Here is a post that will further explain my point - Why it is Better Not to Put Ads on a New Blog

        Hope that helps.
