Hi Warriors I have very interesting question for you that I would like to hear your opinion what do you think, it's about which site will generate more sales that is ranked top on the google, let's say searcher's typing keyword "Panic Away" and there is 5 sites on position #1 to #5 that they have site for Panic Way and they all offer same product for Panic Way, so which site will generate conversion here ? visitors will see on the first page of Google that all 5 site are about "Panic Away" so they will visit first site to see what first site it's about and what it has to offer so visitors visit affiliate offer ClickBank product and they satisfied but they want more info to make sure that this is right product so they leave site that is ranked #1 and they visit site below first site that is ranked on position #2 they check second site and they see that this site offer same solution for "Panic Away" then they leave that site end they visit site on spot #3 to see what that site has to offer and that site offer same ClickBank product for "Panic Away" so they visit site on spot #4 and #5 to get more info about "Panic Away" and those two sites offer same product so visitors see that all 5 sites that are on the first page of Google ranked for "Panic Away"offer same solution so visitors said that this product is the right solution for "Panic Away" and want to make a purchase...this could be very tricky for losing conversation if we ranked #1 on Google if other sites below offering the same product as site ranked #1 so what is the your opinion which site will generate sale here ? site ranked #1 or site ranked #2 or #3 or site ranked #4 and #5 as all these sites offer same product for "Panic Away"? what is the your opinion which site here it would be a winner to generate a sale ???

First off, and enter button is a great invention on the keyboard.

Secondly, I would take a #1 position in google any day over any other rank.

First position with one caveat. The copy needs to be good.

I agree, you can look at it any way you want, at the end of the day. 1 Possition will allways get more clicks than any other possition.

Unless it has got an unrelated title.

The #1 site will get the sale regardless if the person leaves the site and goes to site #3 and buys the same product.

This is because the affiliate cookie would have already been credited to site #1 for that searcher.

Really? Clickbank sales get credited to the last affiliate who drops their cookie, not the first one.

Whoa, going through a "no space bar day" buddy? :p

Anyway- that's true too.. Some sites of mine experienced lower conversion rates when it ranked at #1 compared to #5 or #7 , and I was thinking about in the same line as yours..

BUT.. #1 had a lot more traffic than #5 or #7, so even though the conversion did go a lil bit down, i made it up on volume :-)

p.s- On the "affiliate cookie" -that is not standard operating procedure as not always the cookie is set at "first affiliate". The normal are "the last affiliate" :-)

If the top 5 spots are all promoting the same product, I would be looking to give that product a bit of competition by making my own product.

Then instead of trying to outrank those sites I would be asking their owners to promote my product instead.

Seems like a brilliant idea, enough that I just added you to my Young Guns Watchlist.

But after reflecting on what you wrote, I really don't understand why that's relevant?

I mean - wouldn't just about every niche with a product name have the top 5 slots taken by direct competitors?

Especially if people are getting there by searching for the "exact phrase" aka product name.

I mean, you'd obviously be doing more research on the niche and product before you'd go to the trouble of making your own product -

But if the top 5 spots are filled with competitors situation so rare, that it's a trigger to go to the trouble of researching a niche (not to mention creating a new product?)

Anotherwords, why does that situation attract you to begin with?

I think I was picking the OP up wrong. The way I was picking it up was that they weren't searching exactly for a product name but as a search term.

But if they were searching for a search term instead of a product name then i think it would give cause to research making a product to compete in the niche, as I think it would more profitable in the long run to own a product instead of being an affiliate for someone else.

Only if #1 is doing cookie stuffing, which as I'm sure you are aware is very much blackhat.

Not even then. You can cookie stuff til your blue in the face, the last site that sets the cookie is still going to get the commission.

Heres the plan op. The idea is to be at #1 making sure your site is setup to convert to the max. If your offer/content is the shiz and people generally find what they are looking for on your site you are ALWAYS in the money.

I own A LOT of websites, a large portion of them hold the #1 spot and they get a lot more conversions than those I have stuck at #2 #3 etc.

Work on converting the customer, it helps hone your IM skills.

Well, then there are no capitals after ?, so I guess that means they
are not being used a periods.

Strange post. A complete run-sentence of nonsense.

and speaking of punctuation, you didn't use your apostrophe in the word didn't. :p

Technically, three in a row is an ellipsis...:p

        Again, the whole post reeks...

It's not about being nit picky about punctuation. Completely ignoring
normal punctuation is not normal. Even in the WF.

Here is what I do, rank two of your sites in the top10. If the first misses the sale there is a good chance that the second one will grab you the sale since the customer is more convinced about two sites pretty much telling the same thing about the product.

As an additional bonus you can give more link juice to the top ranking site by linking to the first site from the second site. Link pyramids anyone?

And if you are a fanatic like me you will have a third site in the top 10.

    have fun!

If I had the money and time I would and wait for someone to complain to Google and get all my sites off SERPS, greed in moderation is not a bad thing I guess !!!!
