Hello I am pretty confused as to where to put my blog. I am going to be putting up a site selling an ebook and I have been trying to figure out whether I should put my blog up on my actual site, or do I put it up on different website with some sort of way for people to get to my site with my product?
Considering that it isnt really explained in what i have already read i am guessing that it is something that most internet marketers know already and is IM common sense.
But I am just getting into this so any help is appreciated.
Thanks.. Rockford

Is that Ebook yours, or are you just an affiliate? Is it related to your site's topic? Blogs are quite easier to explain the content of an e-book, as you can add pdates and information about it.

If it's not yours, then a good product review will help a lot. Buying it, and sharing your experience to your readers can help a lot to convince your readers that it is really useful, and worth to buy.

    Just my 2 cents.

Put the blog on the same site. If it's your book, regular posts will keep your content fresh (google likes that). If you just have resale rights, write reviews, comparisons, etc.

Hi, or if you want it separate you might try blogspot or another free blogging software. Blogspot gets indexed fast because it's google owned. Congrats and good luck.

actually traffic 101 got a point but it really depends if it is your ebook or an affiliate of that product. If you own it, you can have different site to get a backlink , (don't use wordpress by the way the link isn't going to count in terms of SEO.)

    hopes that help

      You can use a subdomain:
      ie blog.yourdomain.com

or a folder on your own web:
      ie yourdomain.com/blog/

Anyway for an external solution free and fast you can use
      wordpress.com
