Don't use direct affiliate links. This will get you banned very quick.

Also, I think gambling, porn etc offers are not allowed. Check the Terms and Conditions before you start as if you get banned, you can not open another Adowrds account.

    reading their T&C won't hurt!
basically be sure not to promote porn, pharma, gambling or anything illegal
As said above, beware of affiliate links and redirections
    my two cents!

Make sure you are in compliance with Google's Editorial Guidlines. Also, I read somewhere (I do not recall where) that your landing pages should have significant content and not just a table of contents and ads.

      Hope this information is helpful.

The way to avoid the Google Slap is to be 100% transparent.

        Don't make any bogus claims.

If your goal is lead generation then you need to make sure that you ask for the emails correctly...

If you ask for the email a certain way then they will target you for information harvesting.

Grab a tool called "Affiliate Elite" by Brad Callen's Bryxen software. Decent tool for adwords last time I checked.

Don't talk back to it and you won't get slapped. xd.

Sorry I couldn't hold that in. I used to smart off to my parents when I was a kid/ preteen and I'd get slapped every time. I finally stopped running my mouth and smarting off, because I didn't want my face to turn the color of this emoticon. -->

That and I finally figured it was time I behaved and started listening to my parents.

Sorry I know. I'm getting off topic.

But all great advice from the other warriors.

if you buy brand new domain add content to it and start to build backlink aggressively in order to rank quickly then you will get slapped definitely, I experience this several times before, you will get ranked faster but if you stop building backlinks after you get onto first page or you decrease the amount you build you will experience huge drop in the ranking it happen to me several times before...if you have new domain do it naturally over time adding more unique content...

If you want not to get a slap from Google then don't come face to face with it by doing spamming.Instead you will be admired if you walk through the path Google has showed.

Yeah just stick on creating "QUALITY CONTENT" all the time. That's the key now in order to survive for long with Google whatever program are you going to take with them.

Once they detected that you have crappy ones, you'll most probably be slapped and get penalties.

      Good luck!
