Site losing rank

My site which I use for adsense earnings, losing ranking day by day. It remained on 3rd rank for 1 month almost and now its on the 3rd rank on 2nd page. All I did was that I added amazon widgets in addition t adsense. Is it because of that?

  • No, I don't think that would hurt your rankings in Google. However, Google has been making many new updates to the algorithm lately, so that may be what has hurt your site.

    • If your content to ads ratio is too close or ads are taking up a larger percentage of the page content, that could be negatively affecting your site. That is a factor considered more closely after Google's Panda update this year.
