Hi,

I am building an Amazon single product site. I am down to the outbound links. I noticed that some marketers use outbound links in the sidebar and some use them as textlinks inside each product review to link to an authority site. I have five product reviews on this site.

I am just wondering which is better to use or should I place outbound links inside each product review and the sidebar too? Any help would be most appreciated.

What exactly are you looking to achieve?

Are you referring to outbound linking to an authority site for search engine gain?

To be honest, with my personal Amazon sites I do NOT do this.

Your aim is to send as many leads as possible through your affiliate link, you do not want to send a chunk of that away to a competitor.

If you had to do it, maybe put the link in your sitebar so that less people reading your review will click it.

      Hi,

I am trying to get better ranking for my review pages, but I need to find a way to put the outbound links in so that they won't be too noticeable. You are right. I don't want potential customers clicking away to competitors sites.

I am wondering if I need an outbound link in each of the review pages to boost the ranking of each review page or will outbound links in the sidebar serve to increase the ranking of each individual review page?

Why give outbound links to anyone without getting paid?
Either for an ad, adsense, etc.?

There is no gold star to putting authority backlinks. It
makes it look like your site needs to be sending people
away. Why water down the PR of your internal links,
        and links that matter?

nofollow is an option, but meaningless in this respect
        anyway.

        Keep the links to yourself.

Outbound links was created for a reason. The main purpose of outbound links is to help give more information to the reader about the content of you site. The link you have provided should provide the necessary information needed to clarify things to your reader. The site redirected upon should have relevant and informative content that is relevant to your content also. It is important to establish co relation between your site and the one which serves as a reference for your site if you are to establish outbound links properly and with this it could help improve your sites traffic and page ranking.
