I have a website with Huge amount of content. The problem is it is not adding to the user satisfaction. My visitors does not move beyond couple of pages. So the large volume of content I have is not used at all.
Now I am planning to create a website for each category there. These websites will have the content from the old website but i will re write them.. My questions are

1. Is it possible to re direct my web pages to another website. Remember I am not re directing my website, but only pages..

2. Will my link juice and PR get transferred as well.

3. What kind of Redirection I must use. PHP301 redirect will it work here?

4. Will this affect my Search rankings? I have some Keyword ranking for the old contents.

My websites are created using RV sitebuilder as I was a beginner at that time. Now I am trying to build a group of Niche sites using the first site as a parent site. I dont know whether it is possible..

    1. Yes, it is possible to redirect pages to new domain

    2. Yes, link juice and PR will be passed on to new domain (though there will be negligible PR loss)

    3. You must use .hhtacess 301 redirect (but that would be irreversible)

    4. I don't think this will have any negative impact on your rankings.

That is a point to point answer.. I am hearing from sources that it is not good to redirect. Do you think the risk I am taking is worth?

will a htaccess 301 redirect do the job?
