    • lol... look at his post count... this is not spam.. this is just.. uhm.... weird i guess

    • You're not getting the massage here. Blank page with only words "Girls in bikinis"?

You should be asking yourselves "How does it work?" When you tried 100s of SEO products out there already and only to be told to build backlinks and contents.

    • You completely missed the point of what he posted. It is not fake, nor is it spam. But it is also not a very competitive term.

Do the same thing for "naked girls" and I will be impressed. Nobody searches for "girls in bikinis".
    • LOL...

      NO Teaching?

NO.9 on 1st page. With NO CONTENT. This is a slap in the face to all those that keeps preaching "CONTENT IS KING".

you should be bribing him to teach you what he knows
    • lol, How can you spam someone with a site with only three words of text and no links. That would be amazing. Especially when you don't own the site..

The funny thing about this whole thing is how I ran across it. My wife asked "Can you use Adsense on a site with sexy pictures?", I replied "I don't know, let's see." Which led to her typing in "Girls in Bikinis" which led to the discussion of "Exact Match Domains" which led to clicking on the link..

The site has over 19,000 backlinks to it according to Market Samurai. It was dead or stagnant throughout most of this year, but was then picked up in the Archive.org WaybackMachine again in July of this year, looking just like it does now.

Last year on November 1st the site was still the original site which gathered the backlinks, which was a Rate the Bikini style of site.

Amazingly the site still carries a PR2.

This is on a phrase which gets over 6,000 daily searches on Broad Match and more than 200 on Exact Match.

With some on-page optimization and just a touch of work you could get this to #1 or #2 on Google.

Now, is it a useless phrase? What if you threw on a dating CPA offer, a male potency CPA offer, muscle building CPA offer, or an Affiliate offer for meeting women, etc..? You already know the market which is going to be visiting the site.

Most likely someone picked this domain name up for very little, and it has some amazing attributes which you could use for feeding link strength on to one of your own sites which is promoting a product which fits the demographic.

But then again, there's nothing to learn about SEO on that site...or about buying expired domain names....
  • LOL. Google it, and it is on the #9 on the first page. ....

Ok....? How did you do it with nothing but just a few words "Girls in bikinis" on a blank page?

    • and not much backlinks either...
    • It has an alexa ranking of 25 million and has been online for 7 years. Apparently there isn't much use or interest in this search term or this site.
    • Simple. Very few people investing any time or resources in the term - its not a buying term. last thing those searchers have in mind is buying a product.

    Quite the aged domain.
  • Around 120 backlinks (that show up) and nothing special in backlinks from what i see.

I'll give you $11.87 for the domain.

I've said it before & was doubted by some yahoos on this forum preaching "You need 1,000 words on each page".

Panda this, Panda that, blah, blah, blah... load of elephant dung.

I have thousands of pages combined that include a single image + zip file + maybe 10 words of text (per page), bringing in good SERP traffic.

You'll still get guys that say it can't be done, even If they see the link in OP.

  • Seems Very Interesting, Every one hear is Curious to know your way of Keyword Ranking?
Every teaching of SEO fails here, as It is said that for a keyword to rank there should be Proper Optimized Content, and lots of Links....
  • It is also a brilliant illustration of the fact that simply having a great google ranking does not equal money in the bank!

    • guys.....don't you notice the keyword on the page is:

      girls in biknis [bikinis misspelled]

      and not

girls in bikinis...which is the keyword included in the domain

  • This domain was registered in 2004 that probably has a lot to do with it.
  • It's so puzzling how you managed to climb up the search engines with only keyword-targeted domain name and a .org that is. It really proves that domain age is still a factor and a keyword-targeted domain name are huge factors when ranking a site. The backlinks are not also impressive. Meta tags are also empty. The keyword is not a buying keyword though. Getting that kind of rank in a buying keyword would have been more impressive.
  • so..that website's content has been removed??

    • Barney, what I would guess has happened is the domain name expired and the person who bought it has not bothered to do anything with it. It is actually quite sad. 4 hours of setting up a simple website or blog with just a little content, add your Adsense to it, and see what happens.

If I owned it I would at least be curious to see if with just a little optimized content if I couldn't sneak up higher on the page and start earning a couple bucks per day.

  • This example again proved that Google Search has a lot of work to do.
  • My guess is this won't last and what is the point anyway.....not like the site is doing anybody any good at all. Cannot make a single dollar off a site with one keyword on it. I would rather have sites that never see the first page of Google, but actually provide something more than just three words. Plus there are other ways to get traffic.

It is strange that Google decided this since the keyword is not even spelled correctly.

  • Age of the domain, keyword as domain and competition is low. I also agree the point from mkl3377 - Its true- a slap on the face who claim content is the king.
