What's the name of that Wordpress plugin which somehow harvests the search term that people typed into google in order to find your page and then converts it into a tag on that particular post in order to add extra relevant keywords to the post's content?

I got an email from the guy who made it.
He said to NOT use it to make hyperlinks (tags).
Just use it for plain text on your page.
I did not read it all to find out why as I have not used it for tags.

I am currently using it as tags.

Does any warriors have any evidence that it can harm rankings because of this?

AUTO SEO TAGS plugin gave me very good results. I still have hundreds of visits on tag pages that were generated by the plugin.

I have been using the plugin for over 1 year. Aways ranking very well, a few times even getting the firt #4 results with tag pages.

Still, i cant say 100% sure that there is no harm on the rankings. For the last 3 months my site has been losing ranking on google. My tag pages does not rank as well as before, but regular articles are dropping either.

I never though it could be because of the tags, because 3 moths ago i changend my host and lost arround 400k backlinks, so i guess its probably that.

Im going to disable the plugin for a while and see what happens.

I've been running STT2 as plain text for a while now (months), never had a problem & doubt I will since it's server side php code adding text. Google can't read server side code so they have no idea If I'm adding the text or some script.

I don't run STT2 as hyperlinks/WP-Tags (I don't want the extra on-page links) still I see nothing wrong with doing so, considering millions of WP-blogs run WP-Tags without a plugin.

If the footprint is removed, Google has no clue how tag pages are generated, common sense says keep the WP-Tag count low per page anyways, again, has nothing to do with the STT2 plugin IMO.
