Confusion with"www." and without "www."

I have website in Google 2nd page for all my keywords. All the landing pages are with out "www." before my homepage. There is also a home page with "www.". My site is not going further up after lots of backlinking, backlinking and forum links. Should I redirect the page "www.austinpcexperts" to ony"austinpcexperts". I need your quick advise.

    yes you should redirect it to non www version, check other factors also.
    like after panda update google always looks for fresh content, try to create some great backlink

      my web site CMS is Joomla 1.5.23 and I when I tried to redirect from I cpanel I was restricted with the below message:
      You cannot redirect to http://austinpcexperts.com. It would cause a redirection loop because /home/austinpc/public_html/ is at the same place as /home/austinpc/public_html/.

        I haven't used Joomla for a long time, but is there an SEO plugin or something similar that will let you setup a redirect?

    The first thing you should do is redirect your one version to your preferred version, but since you are getting error while redirecting... You can set your preferred version in Google webmaster tools.

    Apart from this, you can use rel=canonical attribute to tell search engines about the preferred version of your domain.

    Choose either one and redirect the other one to preferred one. Consider which one has more back links and authority backlinks
