Facebook Page Spam Since Panda

Have not been on the forum for months so excuse me if this has been over discussed.

I'm seeing allot of Facebook spam for the lucrative Google search results. Yechh! Can we give the big players ANYTHING more! Like FB doesn't get enough traffic already.

And have any of you Yahoo! PPC guys and gals noticed yet how Yahoo! and Bing are competing with their own PPC clients? Hilarious bullsh*t.

So now when you are submitting a campaign for review, the same people who are reviewing your ad are competing with you in the auction. Of course they pay NOTHING for their ads. What a joke.

So glad we dumped PPC last Summer!!!!

Enjoyed that rant.

    There is a lot of effort being spent on Facebook page/note spam, much of it per directions provided on this forum.

    Once again, a lot of Warriors are about to get whacked, and there will be plenty of whining and moaning on the forum.

    If the effort spent on the latest attempt at 'easy' money from polluting the web with garbage was spent on creating sites of lasting value, more Warriors would be making more money.

    The FaceBook spam is just awful right now. I'm so trying to resist lowering myself, especially since it is only a short-term strategy that will be squashed by either Google or FaceBook in the near future.

    Can you post a google search/keyword example so I can see what you are talking about? I'm new, and curious.

    thanks.

    Here you go. Search;

    best price on ariens compact sno-thro snow blowers

    These are Amazon store links above Amazon themselves.

    Likely short lived. Not going there, but whoever is making the CASH from it now....good on ya!!!

    Ouch that seems kind of wasteful lol.

    I have a lot of fan pages, but would never swoop to the level of trying to trick the search engines entirely with spammy junk like that XD.

    I might add a single product on a page related to the page, but other than that, I create a website dedicated to it and just talk about it to my fans.

    It is annoying the Facebook spam. Why does google rank them high just because its Facebook? Doesn't the algo have logic in place which see's that page has just been copied from elsewhere.

      I also saw some Twitter spam for;

      bad credit loans

      As if Google thinks you apply for loans on Twitter. Also seeing allot of Youtube spam in the payday loan market now too.

      So someone is searching to buy a lawn mower and the first page of Google's results gives them this;

      Facebook Spam
      Youtube Spam
      Yahoo Answer Spam
      Twitter Spam
      Google Maps

      At least when Ezine articles was littering the top of the results the articles would have SOME redeeming information.

      We're still pulling down between $6500-$7000 a month, but it used to be over $10,000 a month this time of year. Us little guys are having to fight like hell against massive domains. At least when we were competing with Amazon, Nextag, and eBay, THOSE domains actually had the products! We expect to be below those companies.

    Facebook needs to do something about the spam. I think the tech guys at FB did not see it coming in that much amount. They could borrow some of the spam filters algo from Google.
