I too am new here. I am here trying to learn how to effectivly build backlinks to my websites. From what I have gathered so far SB will help you build backlinks by automating blog commenting. I think it has more uses but not sure what they are.

I am considering purchasing Bookmarking Demon or ScrapeBox for building my backlinks. I think BMD builds backlinks from social bookmarking sites, as opposed to SB builds backlinks from blog comments. I do not know which is better, and I cannot afford to buy both. Perhaps there is a professional who can suggest which is better.

What is scrapebox - ScrapeBox – Harvest, Check, Ping, Post
Is it a good tool - Yes (For people aiming for short term rankings, not bothered about panda slap)
Should SB be the primary tool for building backlinks? - If you want to stay in Google for a long period I wouldn't use much of scrapebox (How long you think spam blog comment links will keep you on top?)

Do Note - Its my personal opinion based on my research, findings, experiments, as i work with clients who want to stay on Google for a pretty long time & not get spot 1 for a week and disappear somewhere

    hope it helps~

There may be people who oppose my post, but again its my personal research, findings & experiments.

Scrapebox is a automatic blog commenter, with a lot of options that makes it quite a valuable tool. Blasting out a lot of blog comments will typically get those comments deleted as spam as there is no way to make them pertinent to the post. But if you use Scrapebox to harvest the posts and maybe determine the page rank, you can go back and post comments manually. If you read the post and make your comment on the post, then you will probably get most of them to stick.

While this only applies to blog commenting, and I think forum posting, you don't want to ignore the other types of back links as you need a variety to do the best.

You can scrapebox to find competitors backlinks. That's a main advantage of this tool. Don't blast mass amount of comments to money site. Use it for web 2.0 properties and Articles.

SB has a notorious reputation for spamming comments because it is so good at it but it can be use for many good things as the two quoted posts I have here above state.

It can also sort all sorts of the data for you when you find all this stuff.

Yeah, SB has a pretty bad rep. Just ONE of the literally hundreds of different things it can do is mass commenting. (And it does it pretty well, too.)

I primarily use it to locate DoFollow / moderated blogs though. Instead of blasting away at a bunch of random blogs.

Thank you everyone for your advise. Scrapebox sounds like a very powerful tool. Will it be able to give me an accurate list of the backlinks I do have. I need a tool that will let me save a list of backlinks that I have, a tool that I have.

If SB can do this I am guessing that the list will only be the backlinks that are already indexed. Is this correct, or is SB able to give me a list of my backlinks that are not yet indexed.

you can use it to import a URL list and check to see the percentage of URLs in your list that are indexed. You would want to use proxies of course for this action.

You can import a list of sites that you've created backlinks on. SB will scan the list pretty quickly and tell you which links are active. You can even run these through a dofollow / nofollow check afterwards.

As my questions to follow will show, I'm completely clueless as to what Scrapebox does, and more importantly, as to the effects it ultimately has on the URL used in conjunction with it, once it does whatever it does.

Is it safe to use it on one's main websites, or a client's sites, were I to buy it and offer it as a service? Or, will doing so cause irreversible damage, in terms of permanent rankings, down the road?

Or, if using it on a "money site" isn't the safest route, and if it isn't, kindly explain why not, what is a less risky way of using it (if there is such a thing)?

Finally, how effective is it with regards to effective rank building?

Thanks for any expert advice anyone can offer me.

If scrapebox is able to bring a site through spammy comments (regardless it is for a few days or few hours), how can some people say Blog commenting is a waste of time? I think it is a very good way to get quality backlinks if you are getting from high quality sites.

i came across the concept ScrapeBox
Scrapebox is very popular to made automated blog commenting and niche blog finding. Now, according to the recent changes of Google, I will suggest you to never use scrapebox for building backlinks. You can use it to get niche blogs to comment on.

i dont think that is a good idea if you dont know how to use scrapebox.

it is a powerful tool and can be dangerous if you dont know what you are doing.

Of course he can't fully know how to use it until he purchases it and puts it to work. There are some good tutorials out there though that can give you an idea of how the product works. It should be noted that this product will not work without proxies so that's an added monthly cost.

Scrapebox is pretty much dead now in terms of auto comments, its worth virtually nothing if you are going the auto approve route.

I am sure there are some creative uses for it to do manual commenting and other stuff, but i just dont even bother to mess around with it anymore.

to use ScrapeBox solution, you have to buy the copyright, and build a satellite system for their own, besides ScrapeBox have wp blog contain a comment section, but I did not appreciate that section, the proxy is also quite good

You can use it's other plugins to harvest blogs relevant to your niche, check its health, domain authority, etc and then comment on the blogs manually, also you can find guest post opportunity faster

You really don't need ScrapeBox if you are just starting out.

In fact, the types of links ScrapeBox is capable of building these days is VERY LOW QUALITY AND SPAMMY(comment links....are you kidding me?).

ScrapeBox is more of a tool that can be used for secondary SEO tasks like sorting big lists of domains, indexing status, etc. but at your level YOU DO NOT NEED IT.

Focuse on learning about PBNs which are a super effective link building tool.
