INFO Domain vs "-" Domain?

I wanted to register an EMD name, but it was already taken. So for the sake of this post, let's say I wanted to get Widgets2.com - but that's gone.

However Widgets-2.com and Widget2.info are available. Which is the better choice - the .com with a dash or the keyword .info?

    For ranking purposes, it doesn't matter. However, for re-sale purposes and for plain old domain aesthetics purposes, go for the .com with the hyphen. Sometimes when people see .info, they think it's SPAM so they won't click on the link in the search engine.

      And please read that as "Sometimes when OTHER MARKETERS see .info they think it's SPAM..

      Because the average surfer pays no attention whatsoever. Their belief is:

      .com = Normal website or business
      .net = no clue
      .org = Some "organization"
      .info = an information site
      .tv = must be about television

      etc...they don't really pay much attention and could care less. But..other marketers care greatly, which will greatly affect your resale value.

    I'd say .com, .info's are my last resort.
