Hi

I've found a new niche. This niche is proven to make money in other countries. But it is a very small niche.

The combined keyword searches are about 2000 searches
per month on google. The best thing is there is not a single
one advertiser on google.

I want to create a infoproduct for that niche and advertise
on different ppc networks etc.

But i don't know if the niche is big enough

So is there anyone out there who has created an infoproduct
for such a small niche.

thanks

  • Depends entirely what you define as a small niche. Without knowing more, or having something to compare it to, then I doubt the advice you are seeking will be forthcoming.

    • He did define it... it was defined as 2000 searches per month.

As for whether or not you should create a product, I will leave that up to the product experts since I have never created one myself. I am going to keep an eye on this thread though as I would be interested in what some of the seasoned guys will say.

  • If there are no google ads for the niche then it is very doubtful that you have found a niche that will ever make money.

    How do I know this?

It's the first rule for monetising a niche...is anyone else advertising? If not...why not?

The reason (usually) is that nobody spends money in this niche. Think long and hard before you enter the niche as all the experts say that if nobody is currently advertising then there is probably no money here.

    • This ^

It is VERY rare that you happen across a money making niche that no-one has discovered before.

Still that does not mean that you might not do well with a good CPA offer or an adsense site.

If you feel you have something to offer the crowd then go for it.

66 Searches a say on average - you will need to be ranking number 1 to see any real traffic.

    • Yeah, you are right. google.com people are advertising. google.de noone is advertising. The German Infomarketing scene is very small. Almost all products are within the 3 mega niches.

Most likely nobody thought about that niche before.
    • This times a million.
  • Hi!

For 2000 a month the site will pay itself. You'll also rank for many more keywords not just for the top 2 keywords and you can always upscale your site if it brings a lot of $$$.

    I'd go for it!
  • If the market is desperate and you have or have access to specialized knowledge, then go for it.
  • It's all about return on investment.

Determine how much it's going to cost to have the product made, then once you decide on a price you want to sell it for, you'll know exactly the number of sales you need to make to first get your money back and secondly start making some.

If you're confident about the conversion rate of the market being high, then 2k searches/month could still be profitable.

  • That question is very vague. This niche you describe can have buyers perhaps who are ready to buy $5000 products or maybe $5 products. So it depends on so many factors.
  • Test it. Dont go full force and invest to much. Just throw up an email form and an offer and see if they bite. Then go from there.

  • When I build a niche site I look at around 1000-3000 if it has a high cpa ($3-4)

if competition is low then I would say go for it! Good luck

    • I'm curious...

You say it's profitable in other countries. Do you know HOW profitable? If you know for a fact that people are spending money in that niche, and spend it on info products, I'd give it a try - starting small.

You could start with a short report, so your investment in time/money will be minimal.

I also agree with Salestechnician that a squeeze page with an offer would be a good way to find out the general interest - plus it will start building you a list...

      Good luck!

  • ok thanks for your answers so far. I will tell you a little bit more.

A search on clickbank resulted with 2 pages of english products about that niche. But they all have low gravity.

The 2000 searches per month are exact match "How to..." searches. There are a bit more searches but they are not that targeted.

I think I'm going to create a ppc campaign for an optin page.
  • The problem is that in Germany not a lot of people have credit cards or Paypal. That should lower your conversion.
