Over time i recorded the URLs of some 100+ blog comments made by me, manually, no spam, approved on the blogs with link pointing to my site most of the time through the <Name> field and in some cases a link inside the comment. Various PR blogs, mostly 2+. Today I checked Google Webmaster Tools and among all the links pointing to my website NONE were from these blog comments. So the Google Webmaster Tools being the most accurate tool available for own website - this tells me that blog comments are not at all useful for SEO....
none of the blog comments are accepted in Google Webmaster

Does anyone have actual proof that blog commenting brings value?
Please actual proof only - no "i think" or "i believe" or "this famous guy told me"
