My e-commerce website has been around for about 8 years-I have retained many so-called SEO experts- How do I find a honest, knowledgeable and reasonable SEO expert.
Thanks

Google Matt Carter - he has some very good free SEO training (and paid membership as well if you want it)

You can find good SEO Expert by checking their portfolios, work samples and past client feedbacks. Also you can ask proof of latest SEO achievements

Most competent SEO's have their own projects and take clients for ready cash. Check the whois to verify it's really their site.

I've lost 90 pounds(160+ overall) fasting since January 2016 after failing for years on diets that just made me sick and miserable. Check out Prudently.com where I'm writing about fasting and weight loss. Get a Brandable Domain Name at Name Perfection.

Find one that will prove that he can make your site move up in Google without you paying him a dime and without using any backlinking software (otherwise you will only get someone who knows to run tools) and let him/her tell you their plan to get you to the top three (nothing else really counts).

As simple as this sounds, I'd say it's definitely accurate.

By looking for companies that are ranking well now, today, this moment.. you should stumble upon quite a few that know their stuff, know what kinds of links to build, and can instruct you on the basic on-page structure that works best.

In my experience the rest is basically trial and error, and allowing time to pass while you track progress - I personally like to test "one-off" services, and combine the ones I find bring the best results.

Warrior Forum has tons of guys in the Warriors for Hire section. The only thing you need to make sure of though is that their methods are legit. Check all the testimonials. If there are a lot of positive testimonials and he/she is very descriptive with their methods and have strong service guarantees, they may be a good SEO expert.

The truth is though, you won't know until you test them yourself. Good luck.

"TAKE ACTION" is the first thing everyone tells you and then they leave it at that. I'll add a second part: TRACK EVERYTHING" - It's the only way to ensure your ACTION leads to results.

Agree...If you're not very familiar with the services out there, the best thing is to research past customers' feedback and testimonials.
