Exact domain redirect - SEO gurus?

Hey guys, I have a question.
Again, this is the EXAMPLE

Let's say I have a domain myshoes.com that currently ranks for the keyword on "buy shoes" on the first page and I want to completely dominate 1st page. IF I buy domain name buy-shoes.com and redirect it to myshoes.com will buy-shoes.com rank with few backlinks?

    If you redirect it, it is not even going to show up in the serps, so the answer is no.
