I have a good news for wordpress bloggers. Now wordpress has its own ad network, WordAds. At present they are accepting only publicly visible blogs with custom domains. Further If your blog receives enough visitors, there is higher chance of acceptance.

Click here for more details and

here you can apply for WordAds.

    Good luck getting accepted.

So it has to be on a Wordpress hosted free blog? That's just silly IMO.

They'll probably just test it on their own hosted sites. Once they've got the kinks worked out they'll probably want to expand the network. Might even be their plan to do so.

I would hope that's the plan, because not expanding to self hosted blogs would be a huge cut in possible income for WP.

WP dominates as the largest self hosted blog framework, why they wouldn't tap into that is beyond me. I would have monetized that years ago.

Stupid if it is only for wordpress.com users. The upside is the advertising should be dirt cheap for awhile.

    Edit

If I'm reading it right, you can probably get around this by signing up with Federated Media directly as I'm sure it's going to show ads right across their entire network if Wordpress is teaming up with them. Your site would need to have a significant amount of traffic though judging from their sign up process.

That's a good news. Am tired from adsence now. There policies are very tough now and they block your account anytime without any notice or information.
