Hi All,

I've been lurking on this forum or a few months and have gained a lot of good information here so thank you all for your great Q and A's. I thought it was time to ask a few questions that I'm struggling to find clear answers on.

1. If I log into a Google account ( to check gmail, adsense etc ) and do a google search for a keyword I'm targeting, I often find my sites on the first page. However , when I am not logged into a google account my sites are listed are page 2, 3,4 .... etc. Does google remember my search history and save some kind of preferences to my google account ? Is there a way to turn this off so I don't have to log out to check my true rankings ?

2. As far as blogs go - is it easier to rank a single page .v. a website ? I find so many differing opinions on this one . Should I be linking my target keywords in anchor text to the website or only inner pages ?

3. If I put affiliate links like Amazon on the same page as one with adsense ads is that again the adsense TOS ?

4. How many internal links is too much ? If I have 10 pages which all link back to another page of my site is that too much ?

Thanks again for you time and I look forward to reading more great posts from you guys.

Cheers

Brian

    1) Use Google Chrome Incognito to check your page/keyword SERP positions (don't login to anything).

    2) You rank pages not sites/domains.

    3) You can run Adsense & Amazon on the same page, Blogspot allows the same, Google owns Blogspot.

    4) Only use internal links when it's 100% related to the page. You don't want a bunch of non-targeted links on your pages.

As far as 2 goes, it is not so cut and dry. It really depends on what keyword(s) you are targeting along with how you perform your SEO. It is too open ended of a question to answer so that is probably why Yukon answered it how he did.

Also the anchor text linking, this all comes down to SEO preference and the difficulty of the keyword. A well structured site which is backlinked properly can rank very well for a hard keyword however for easier to rank words you may not need such a large campaign.
