Hi All,

I would like to translate one of my sites to different Languages.

The following options are available:

1 - Creating sub domain to each Language.

2 - Create separate domain to each Language.

Which option is better?

If for example I"m translating pages that currently in English to Spanish and upload them as sub domain - does Google will treat the content as duplicate content?

Many Thanks!

I myself prefer to have other languages in different folders or at least sub-domains.

I think sub domains should be fine...i dont think they will be consider as duplicate content as long as they are in different languages..hope any expert out there clarify this issue too..

No reason to do what you propose unless you just
want to do it for the fun of it.

With many free web translators, the day of having
a ton of sites in different languages is moot.

What makes it more moot, is that the internet
world runs on English. More than 70% of the
sites are in English. English is the largest
lingua franca. I'll let you google that.

It's not duplicate content, but a complete waste
      of time in 2011.
