I can't remember doing anything bad or against the TOS of ad sense but i can recall i attempted to create another adsense account for a friend blog i created and hosted on my hostgator. The request was turn down saying one of my email already have an active ad sense account. Since that time, i have each time i try to log into my account i get told to active my already active adsense account. This persisted for three days before i finally when ahead to active and a mail came in telling me my account has been active.

Secondly, i have been seeing some warning signs each time i try to search for a thing of interest on Google.com saying something like my computer or so detected traffic coming from another source. Next, if i try to log in using explorer it says "There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address. Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server. We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website". So i stopped using explorer to open my adsense and prefer to use firefox".

Thirdly, i attempted scraping with scrapebox without proxies because i couldn't afford private proxies. Could it have causes some abnormal traffic?

Which of these could be responsible for my woes?

I have re-appealed but this is not a surefire way. I want to create another adsense account as i have a major project coming up. Can i create another adsense account from the same IP? What if they approve my account? What if the traffic mess continue? Pls who can deal with this?

Thanks

Your adsense account is gone, best bet would be to try to get a new one using an email from a new domain. Don't open another gmail account to do it.

When you use Scrapebox without proxies it triggers a flag from Google saying your searching too fast and the limit your IP address for a set period of time. At a minimum when your using the software you need to use the free proxies the software harvests to prevent the issue.

    Regards,
    Clint

That is a bad idea right there. Google is very smart and will find out that you opened a new account and will delete it.

There are people who get banned from their system and think that they can go around them with a new website, new address, and a new account.

Again, Google will find that out somehow and will ban you for life.

Right on mate. Guys out there trying to make it work with adsense, listen up. I have had much experience and I have some gold information for you. DO make sure your content is:

        - Not PLR junk
        - Not affiliate replicated website

Otherwise you will always have trouble and get banned. Check your content uniqueness with Copyscape Plagiarism Checker - Duplicate Content Detection Software

Make sure your content is totally unique. Also, have banners to affiliate products/ clickbank, Amazon widgets, etc. If you can show you aren't totally reliant on adsense and have other monetization methods, that's good. (Check my sig on forex if you need an example)

I am working on a revolutionary new program that will prevent many accidental tos violation on your website, it will be like nothing else ever seen. I am hoping to release it in the next 2 months after testing is complete.

Another very good recommendation is to sign up to the new Yahoo publisher program - This is their version of Adsense. Yahoo have far superior customer support (they even help you with your websites on the phone! and offer to assist) They are approachable and you can talk with them to clarify what you can & can't do - This leaves adsense customer support in the dust. Yahoo ads also pay better money, better cpc but ad targeting is not quite as good. If you are still having troubles with adsense, then give them the flick and try Yahoo. Afterall, the customer service and service reliability you receive should be your key consideration if you invest significant time and money in your website business.

I personally think all these second tier publisher sites like chitika, adgenie, etc. are not even worth worrying about - their payouts are very poor and ad relevance pretty slack.

Just persist and you will do well, but also make sure your site is backed up with good SEO practices and good quality back linking.

Are you trying to say they won't consider my appeal? I have about $168, something that took me over three years to accumulate.

What if i create another adsense account using my IP that triggered the problem?

You can always make some e-mail campaigns with affiliates and use amazon or any other affiliate network that is willing to have you. Good luck.

      No offense,

If it took you 3 years to earn $168, being banned is the least of your problems.

      That's $0.15 per day.

You can find plenty of other affiliate products, still, you need to make sure it's earning more than $0.15 per day.

You can not participate in Google adsense any more if you have been banned once.

My adsense account was suspended, 6 years ago, every year I send a note to adsense asking for reinstatement. Same old automated reply always.
I was employing the arbitrage technique, getting articles ( always using the original content ) and sprinkling the adsense ad in a few high return areas.
My mistake was the tracking of where the traffic was coming from. I was using a company at the time called GoClick, it was great. For pennies my ads were number 2 and 3. The traffic was moderate but I was making 200 - 300 dollars a month with a $100.00 ad costs.

When my account was suspended it was the statement that I wasn't giving their advertisers a benefit. This could be because GoClick may have been getting traffic from less desireble areas.

I would take the advise of the many contributors to your posting and figure out a better way to monitize your site. I still haven't got the results I had with adsense but I will figure it out one day.

Yes, they won't consider your appeal. Once they block or suspend any Ad sense account. There is no consideration on reactivating those accounts. So It's better to set up the new and start fresh.

Adsense maybe banned your site due to the contents not suitable to their existing TOS being a publisher. You may try to appeal and re apply for adsense account after three months. No need to use another adsense account to fool google. Just wait for the time they set and re apply but before you do re apply check the previous reason why google have prevented you getting the service check the violation and remove it before re-applying again.

Adding another adsense account with the same domain will not help you regardless where you host your site and what ip your domain is using. For the meantime while waiting for google approve you use alternative ad networks use max of three network to maximize the earning

There are loads of Adsense alternatives. Chitika is a good option for some niches. Also, consider CPA and/or affiliate ads. Do some testing with these options or a combination of them and measure your results. You might just find that you make more money with the alternatives and this was a blessing in disguise. Good luck.

Google pays you what they think you rightfully should have.
But they reserve the right to keep it all. Maybe you will
get lucky, and they will give you some. You must have been
having a "month" if you now have 168 and this took 3 years.
That would mean, say you had 99.99 at the end of Oct,
and earned 69 in 9 days of Nov. That would mean, you
      finally woke up the account(?)

Unless for some strange reason you requested to not get
      a payout. Lousy choice, actually.

None of those things would ban an adsense account on
      their own.

Those security warnings are different animals. Not sure why
you connect them to an adsense account. A whole host
of things could remedy that, including something simple
      as rebooting your router/modem.

You don't get banned for the other junk you described.

I suspect that you are just not telling us everything, as
most people in this situation. Either you don't know that
you broke the rules, or you just ignored them.

      Either scenario is, sorry, inexcusable.

Paul is right about the last part he stated to some extent. But if you truly didnt do anything wrong then don't worry about it. Take that situation, learn from it and move on.

There are many legit ways to make a decent income online WITHOUT Adsense. Stressing over it isnt going to do any good for you.

Clickbank, CPA Marketing, Creating your own products and services...and more. Even though Adsense is a very good way to make money online, you truly don't necessarily need Adsense at all. A lot of marketers don't even touch Adsense whatsoever and they still make a killing online via diversifying their income.

Just don't stress, you'll get over it and quickly find another viable way to earn an income online. Just remember to do your research

There is an interesting news release by the FTC regarding Chitika: FTC Puts an End to Tactics of Online Advertising Company That Deceived Consumers Who Wanted to "Opt Out" from Targeted Ads. The FTC charged Chitika's claims about its opt-out mechanism were deceptive and violated federal law.

First thing you should do is have your own self hosted blog. A blog on blogger is only good to link to your main blog. It is for linking not making money with.

I am afraid Chitika is of no use, its CPC as well as CTR both are less..it will take more time to earn $100 than Google adsense..my recommendation is go for adsense in either way..

Hi guys, I just got banned from adsense about one hour ago. There were 2 accounts, one on my company's name and one on my name. Both are banned and I want to know what are the alternatives. This works - but you also need:
      - new/formatted computer
      - new credit card with a new name and new address
      - to make sure you don't login to any old gmail/adwords account you have used on the banned computer

Just appeal to Google. The people on this forum don't work for Google and don't make decisions for them. Find out what you allegedly did and what the appeals process is and then appeal.

yes you can but the best way to create a new account by using new ip, new gmail id and domain its helps you survive to banned your account by google.

Be positive, being banned by Google Adsense is not the end of the world. There are many networks out there that do a good job as well. Since you are off from PPC ads, why not just focus in selling direct ads at buysellads.com and do some affiliate marketing. If you can affiliate well, you don't need 3 years to earn $168.

    Good luck

Lol, have you ever tried to monetize chitika (I have), & they are a waste of time IMO.

I've done multiple 50/50 split test with chitika & Adsense on the same traffic sources, Adsense always did way better than chitika.

as far as i know, you can sign up adsense using a gmail account, so does that mean he need to sign up for another gmail account for adsense in a different IP/location?

Getting a new account with a new email would not be an answer in my opinion. Most Guru's might say to get a LLC or other type business entity. Apply with this entity.

Also apply for a new hosting account at a different hosting company.

Google TOC says, you should not have two adsense accounts , you might have created it for your friend but google consider it as multiple account, that could be the reason for the ban.

They suspended your adwords account? Why would they shut you down for spending money with them? I've heard of people losing adsense accounts for violating adsense TOS but this is the first time I'm learning that an adwords account was suspended.

My Adwords account was terminated about 3 years ago because I promoted a Clickbank product. google gave me 72 hours to change the landing page to fit their specs. I explained to them that it was not my website and I was only an affiliate promoting the page, therefore it would not be possible to do this. My account was suspended permanently less than 24 hours later. Every month I write them and ask that it be reinstated, and every month they write back and say no.

Thanks for your explanation. I'm sorry to hear that you've been unsuccessful getting your account reinstated. Is google generally averse to clickbank products? Or is it just the specs on a site that instigates this?

In any event, I hope you are doing well through other means.

My Adwords a/c was 'permanently suspended' last month when I tried to set up a campaign for a book that I had written.

They said that there were campaigns in my a/c that were not supported.
The two they quoted were for MPAM and Ewen Chia's 'Autopilot Profits'.

I said that MPAM no longer existed and that I had not used those campaigns for 5+ years.
They said that that was irrelevant because They were in my archive.

      I said: 'Delete them'.
They said they could not; there was nothing they could do but suspend my a/c permanently.

      No appeal.

For something I did 5 years ago which was not against TOS then.

Thousands of people have already faced what you've been presented with.

    You have a couple options:

    1) Reestablish a new Google account, and continue trying to work with them.

    2) Learn how to become independent of Google.

    I choose independence from Google.

Instead of Google PPC, learn about PPV, CPV, and paid media.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by PM or email.

Google adwords has become so picky, I got suspended and was shocked, contacted their support (who certainly ignored my emails). It came as a shock since I never had an issue with them.

I search it, apparently, Adwords, would suspend you even if they are not happy with how much you spend, if you running mini ads with low budget, they may get rid of you, they looking for big bucks.

To be honest, I am happy they doing so, I guess our money is appreciated somewhere else more. By kicking advertisers from adwords and publisher from adsense. I guess these two will just have to meet somewhere else

By the way, I am not affiliated with anyone, I don't sell click bank products, the only ads I had with adwords was for my websites. I never had a warning. I guess they weren't happy as my budget was a little low

wolfmmiii are you working for adwords lately just kidding

I am sorry if you don't like what I found, but believe it or not it happens. If they are firing advertisers because they are not happy with their "content", then they got a bigger issue.

I have been advertising the same websites for over a year and half (last website to their ads was 8 months ago), did adowrds stuff wake up yesterday morning and find out my content is not good enough ? I don't think so.

Adwords is nothing more than a channel to advertise, and the moment I went out, my ads were more than welcomed in Microsoft Adcenter. I am paying less for click anyway and if there is something I can say to adwords would be thank you guys, I wouldn't find out about others if I didn't get a problem with adwords.

By the way, I came on something a google employee said to someone got his account banned on their forum :

Once an account is suspended, its hard to get details on the exact violation (I, for example, have no insight as to why accounts are terminated). That said, it almost doesn't matter, because once an account is suspended, Google reserves the right to terminate all future advertising with AdWords. If I were you, I would look into other advertising options.
This is a link for the discussion, you can see he get banned and no one really knows why, probably because it doesn't matter. :

I am working with the Google AdWords team to get a client's site approved. We've traded emails with AdWords support and this is a direct quote from their email to my client just the other day:

However, please note that we keep updating our policies, so there is no guarantee that your site will remain compliant in the future.
So yes, they can wake up one day and change their mind and determine your content is not good enough.

Then, I am glad they finally woke up .

Again, Adwords reserve the right to cut anyone out with or without a reason (this is what term of services are for after all).

You might dealt with some "Good Customer Support", but I bet not all of them are and if they don't have a lousy support as well, adwords wouldn't be ban advertise without a good reason and wouldn't stop reply to their emails.

Again, I know you don't agree with me. However, there are thousands of reviews and articles about adwords ban people without a solid case. It is hard to believe they are all wrong and you are right.

              We can agree to disagree.

Just consider one thing though - what's in it for Google? How would they benefit from banning people "for no reason"? Why on earth would they ban "thousands" of paying clients "for no reason" and leave that money on the table?

Typically, folks can't answer that question.

Okay, let us agree on something Google is not someone, as state above it is just a search engine, adwords reviews are for sure involve both automated part and human part as well.

now as far as automated part ( I guess we all agree automation never work on everything). If you are familiar with Amazon and their automation system, then you know what I am talking about, as far as human, different people got different point of views (we don't look at things the same way and the current discussion is an example), this is beside people make mistake (that is a given).

So, to sum it up, if anyone believe Adwords is really error or mistake free, then we got a really bigger issue than Adwords.

Now, unless we can prove that each person work for adwords is an angel came straight from heaven, Google Adwords has issues and banning people permanently without giving them the right to find out why, and without giving them the right to defend themselves. Google Adwords got more issues.

Let me make it easier, take Amazon marketplace and eBay for example they both marketplace. Why Amazon marketplace sucks more than eBay, because eBay has an actual support while Amazon is automated.

                Cheers

Which is better is clearly a matter of opinion yet you are stating it as fact. I was a Platinum PowerSeller on eBay at one time. However, I would argue that Amazon is clearly the better marketplace now.

And they don't have to. Not knowing the answer in no way means there isn't one. Just because they're a billion dollar company doesn't mean they are immune to making stupid decisions, and having stupid policies.

                Three letters ----> T O S

People refuse to abide by TOS and violate them (knowingly or unknowingly). This is why bannings occur.
Two letters....B S. It's kind of hard to abide by a TOS that says you can be banned for any reason they decide, even if it's not in the TOS.

AdWords, if you ask me, is pretty clear about what is and isn't allowed. For every person "wrongly banned", there are hundreds (or thousands) who have no problems. Why do you think that is??

That's the crux of it. They can change the TOS any time or decide that regardless of the TOS, you are banned anyway, without having to give you a proper reason. That actually should be illegal.

I would like to know if there is any way to open a new adwords account without them connecting it to suspended accounts.
I had a four year old account that hadn't been active for two years that they recently decided to suspend for "Repeated violations...." and then An account for my brick and mortar business that was about six months old and running fine was suspended for being associated with the other account.
I've talked to them and they have picked two sites they want redone to reinstate me. But those sites haven't existed in more than two years. They don't care. Fix them or stay suspended.
So is there a way to open another account?

Oh Man that is painful. My adsense is going great, so I am careful not to jeopardise it. I have had my Adwords account suspended. I promoted a Pirate product from CB, a year or 2 ago, and obviously G did not like thatI wrote to them and tad them that it was the vendor's sales page, they asked me to get it changed. PPC was a big loss for me anyway. But the heavy handed way is disturbing without giving you a chance for recourse. Oh well. Other better things for sure.

Im sorry to hear that, an expensive and unfair lesson on their operating guidelines. They are notorious for not answering emails, should you want to patch it up, they have a forum where problems can be posted and volunteers give advice and involve actual google reps when needed.

But I think we can all learn a lesson here. That is we can't depend on one source of revenue . If we really want to have our own business we must have many streams. This is true for a web site and it is true for any brick and motor business.

There is also another lesson to be learned here : Read and understand the terms of service. If there is something that is unclear, then do research first.

I am amazed at how many people say "My account was banned for no reason" or "with no warning" or "I don't know why my account was banned". Certainly I can understand this happening occasionally (no one is perfect) but for there to be 'widespread' confusion as to why they are banned (and then for people to be made at GOOGLE for banning them) is silly.

To the OP, I have no doubt this will open a ton of new doors. Sometimes we get reliant on one type of method and it keeps us from expanding to new, more lucrative, opportunities.

if you own the domain / its yours then it may be you can apply to G to fix the site in question so that it supports G's T&C's

to do this there should be a reply option on the suspension email, reply and open some dialog that you were un aware of the breach of rules and will repair the site in question fr re submission and to have the suspension lifted.

Now to do that you going to need to drop all the click bank lander page and information and just build a decent site with supporting information about your topic, that has real visitor appeal.

you might have a link to join our news letter where you promote your e book and even maybe have your land page as a sub domain ? if possible probably remove that to a whole new domain say thedietturbo.co or similar

its not that G hates CB its more 99.9% of CB sites are hype and this is where they fall down. / if all goes well you may get your account back.

        It can happen to anyone.

Let's say, you've driving licence for twentysix years. You travel the same route every day. You know where to turn left into that street where your destination is. You know the route so now, that you may drive there with quasi 'closed eyes'.

Today you're driving on your habitual manner. You turn left at your habitual place and drive. After one hundred fifty meters a policeman stops you. You're asking: "Why?" He answers: "You break traffic rules". You're asking: "How?" "This is a one-way street, you turned into from its forbidden end" - he says.

You are socked by hearing this. You're deeply convinced, you're right. And you're asking the policeman: "Since when?". "For three days" - sounds the answer. You start to become angry. You're using bad words, so the policeman writes a punishment paper.

What really happened? The rules have changed. Not today. Not yesterday. Three days ago. You just ignored the information in the local newspaper and the no entry signal, so traveled routinely ... before yesterday ... yesterday ... and also today. Fortunately, without casualties.

What can you do to avoid a repeated punishment? Adopt the new rules, and drive according to them. And you need to learn to pay more attention.

And so it is online. There are TOS. They say, they keep the right to cange rules without notice. You need to read the TOS (and understand that) before you sign up.

Make no mistake, I'm not the big G's advocate. I just try to use common sense. And ... I recommend this for others as well.

        All the best,

        Sandor

Totally agree. I've been around here for years and every day, someone complains about their account suspended or banned for no reason. Well, the reason as Wolf says is that they violated the rules. Google expects you to read and abide by them. Ignorance is not a defense. If you're not sure, ask them.

People also wonder why Google doesn't just take your money. It's very simple. First, they want to put out a quality product (the search engine) and that includes ads. A good quality product means people will come back to use Google. If you don't agree with their vision, they don't want you as a partner.

Second, there's plenty of inventory (many advertisers) that even if you spend thousands, they won't miss you because others will simply take your place. To them, it doesn't matter and they'd rather have advertisers that follow the rules.

All I can say is, "Oh well." Google Adsense shut my account down, too. It was right when they were going to pay me a few dollars. I have enjoyed reading people's comments in this thread. Even though people have all kinds of ideas of what might have happened, sometimes, there is just no rhyme or reason. People in power just do what they want to do. And all we can really say is, "Oh well", and move on.

Why Google banned site? what are the reason that a site has been banned from Google?
      {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[5575594].message }}
    • Profile picture of the author loudletters
Well, Google adsense is very particular about the pages on which its ads are displayed and ban can happen for millions of reasons :

      1) Multiple adsens accounts
      2) hint of adult content on the website
      3) Invalid click action

I do agree, though, that adsense is prolly best paying network and not many other networks can pay what google pays. However, being banned is a frequent and hard reality here.

Yeah! You can create a new Adsense Account with your same IP but you mush change you contact details, Like: Address, Mobile Number, You can change your name little like., your previous name MD ARIF HOSSAIN then you can Use only ARIF HOSSAIN. and you have to apply with new domain or which is not applied for Adsense yet.

Your second Problem is may be happened for your IP. you can change it to better solution.

      Best of luck,

      Thanking You.

The thing that I have figured out with adwords is that the big G doesn't need your money. They have many affiliates who are spending in the 10's of 1000's to the 100's per day. Maybe even in the millions who knows. They are #1 and if you do something they don't like you are just a speck of dirt to them unless you are paying them huge amounts of cash then and only then will they work with you. For an account that has been banned, best bet is to use a different card with a different ip. That's the only way that I have heard of anyone getting a new account other than begging them to re-instate your old account.

Optionally, I would suggest trying to move away from Adwords like everyone else is suggesting because it's like gambling with Google. One day you may have your account and be killing it and the next day poof all your earnings stop. Seriously consider moving to an alternative advertising unless you are making serious dough with adwords.

In a vacuum, you would be correct. However, we are not in a vacuum. As the other poster claimed in this thread, there are "thousands" of folks who have been wrongly banned.

      I'll use a basic example:

10000 "wrongly" banned users each spent $500/month (this can hardly be considered huge amounts of cash) in advertising. That would be 5 MILLION DOLLARS per month in revenue that Google is leaving on the table. I believe that qualifies as significant, even to Google.

So, you need to ask yourself if Google feels that messing around with affiliates and banning them for "no reason" is worth the $60MIL per year they are losing out on. It hardly makes any sense.

I can totally agree with you wolfmmiii. And you are right on point with the people not following their TOS. Also, it's a filtered banned more than likely. The run a scan for specific words being used or specific figures or whatever and their software automatically bans you if you fall into the wrong use of words. I haven't had my account banned ever, but I have talked to others who have and usually they get notice to correct their mistakes. It's odd they are just banning without even investigating. Or could it be they are giving a 24 hour notice and the banned individuals are waiting past the 24 hour window to try and fix their infractions, so therefore they are being banned automatically you know? Lot's of scenarios and reasons that may not be completely stated. Would like to know if they are really just banning without giving anyone a chance though.

Well, I definitely wouldn't make that blanket statement. It's not necessarily the product that you are promoting (CB, Amazon, CPA, etc). It's more about HOW you are designing your site/landing page.

Now, of course, there will be products that are simply not welcome in the AdWords program (be it CB, Amazon, etc) but site design and linking strategies are what typically get people into trouble.

You can compare the ads which appear today to the ads which appeared, say, 2 years ago. It's almost ALL of the clickbank promoters have gone, regardless how "good" their sites looked. I think it's simply a general overhaul Google did - simply because they CAN.

Clickbank affiliates on Adwords have VERY much thinned out...and a few lucky ones might have survived...but IMO they did not do a evaluation on a per-site basis...rather can whole niches and vendors (same as Squidoo did or Ezine etc..)..again..simply because they can.

Is that enough or do I also have to use a different credit card with a different name on it. Would they still shut it down because of the link to the website.

I guess I know why it happened and it may be a start of a purge. Yesterday I started running a new ad campaign (actually the acount was paused and not ven live yet) for my weight loss ebook (thedietturbo.com) Next day account is shut down! Obviously if I open a new account via the backdoor I won't advertise the book on it!!

On the plus side I have always wanted to see what the impact on my physical goods business would be if I stop using CPC and just use google organic results. My sales are 50% CPC and 50% organic but one of my products is $29.99 and the other is $99.99 and I could never breakdown which sales were coming from which source (paid or organic).

Who knows, maybe it's a good thing...the loss of sales could be offset by the money I was spending on ads. At least it will be interesting to see at last.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Cheers

Several big name marketers and instructional authors reported their accounts on which they spent thousands a week were suspended, some in touch with google personal believe it was primarily an automated thinning formula based on the products being promoted, a great number of them being the various **** Berry, Tooth Whitening like re-bill schemes.

regardless of the reason, Google's permanently banning customers with no warning is no way to run a business, instead of spending so much money on unessential acquisitions and projects they should hire more account managers who actually speak to their customers.

Hey, I feel for you. It really stinks.

I would suggest not linking directly to a third party site that you have no control over. That's the conclusion I reached myself after my own go-round with Google. Here's what happened...

G cancelled my Adwords account because I supposedly violated TOS by linking to an affiliate site they decided they didn't like after 4 years.

I had done this campaign over 4 years ago, and I had suspended it, and not had not even used my Adwords account for over 3 years. The affiliate site was fine and within TOS at that time 4 years ago, but for some reason they decided it was in now violation, and since I had at linked to it way back then, my Adwords account was in violation of TOS until I fixed the problem.

They told me I needed to change the website content to conform, and I said it wasn't my website so I couldn't do anything about it. I told them it wasn't fair that they change the TOS and then retroactively penalize me because I had linked to that site at one time in the past.

I was told they absolutely could not reinstate my account until I had corrected the problem, at which I would say I couldn't possible change it because it was not my site. An endless loop of insanity.

The whole thing made me really mad, being suspended so suddenly for such a bogus reason, with no realistic remedy. I hadn't even used Adwords for over 3 years, but it was the whole principle, the unfairness of it.

So I kept calling them back every day, and each time I got more exasperated and angry. I called them Nazis, said they were unfair, unethical, dishonest, and other things. I threatened to file a complaint with the FTC, and sue them, and all kinds of stuff, day after day. I was really mad, and I didn't hold back. After a few days they told me to stop calling, but I continued to call back every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I finally gave up after a week or so, and just figured I was screwed.

A couple of weeks later, I logged into my suspended account and found out that it was reactivated, it was no longer suspended. No notification, no email, no phone call - just reinstated and looking like nothing had ever happened.

I was kind of shocked, as I had heard that Adwords accounts were never reinstated in these situations. I guess the naysayers were wrong.

I still don't know why my Adwords account was reinstated like this. Just weird, the whole thing. Maybe it was my persistence, maybe it was all the names I called them, or the threats of lawsuits or whatever.

What I learned from all of this is that when playing Google's game, do not link your Adwords campaigns directly to a site you cannot control. Go to a landing page first, then use a redirect or link to funnel visitors to the money page.

Sorry to dredge this thread up again, but I just got off the phone with adwords support.

I created my account a week ago, setup my first campaign on Friday, and woke up Saturday morning to the account suspended message. I linked to a cpa offer, that I thought, conformed with all of their TOS. Apparently it didn't. With no way to change the actual landing page/site I linked to, they said I'm S.O.L. with nothing to do. So, time for a new ppc channel for me.

What upset me most, was the terminology used "repeated violations" ... when I've run 1 campaign. There was no warning email, just the email that states your account was suspended. As mentioned before, that to me is bad form. It also hacks me off that I now have to wait 3 weeks to get the money I just put into the account 3 days ago back.

You can talk about TOS all you want, but when I asked the support guy on the phone what part of the site needed changing, he said he couldn't tell me. Some of their guidelines are not listed in TOS, etc. I believe that is why there are so many "Don't know why I was banned" complaints, because sites can appear to meet the TOS but not meet their actual guidelines.

Time to move on though. I need to see how I can monetize a site for folks to vent their google complaints

Good luck with your accounts though guys. Double and Tripple check your landing pages.

5 million dollars a month, lets see what was googles profit last year? 10 billion?

yes 5 million a month is insignificant

well I guess its 1/200 of their annual earnings, but

I know google had to pay a fine of 600 million dollars for violating advertising rules with the FTC on Canadian pharmacies,

didnt seem to hurt them much

    Although
far as I have heard , googles revenue growth rate has dropped significantly as of late

perhaps they will become more humble and less arrogant and actually care about their advertisers

Even if you believe that, it still doesn't answer WHY they would leave that money on the table just to screw around with affiliates' heads.

I received the love letter from google

    Hello,

We continually review all publishers according to our program policies ( https://www.google.com/support/adsen...tc=aspe-3pp-en ) and Terms and Conditions ( https://www.google.com/adsense/local...tc=aspe-3tc-en ). During a recent review of your account, our specialists found that it was not in compliance with our policies.

WEBMASTER GUIDELINES: Our program specialists regularly review sites in the AdSense program.

It is important for a site displaying AdSense to offer significant value to the end user by providing unique and relevant content, and not to place ads on sites with little to no original content. Additionally, Google ads may not be placed on non-content-based pages.

Your site should also provide a good user experience through clear navigation and organization. Users should be able to easily click through your pages and find the information they are seeking.

Because your sites violate the spirit of our policies, we have disabled ad serving.

For more information, please review our program policies ( https://www.google.com/adsense/suppo...y?answer=48182 ) and Google's Webmaster Quality Guidelines ( Webmaster Guidelines - Webmaster Tools Help ).

WEBMASTER GUIDELINES: Publishers may not place Google ads on pages that violate Google’s webmaster quality guidelines (Webmaster Guidelines - Webmaster Tools Help). While we've included the following excerpts from these guidelines, we recommend that you take the time to review them in their entirety.

    * Make pages for users, not for search engines.
    * Don't employ cloaking or sneaky redirects.
    * Don't load pages with irrelevant words.
    * Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.
    * Don't participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank.
    * Avoid "doorway" pages created just for search engines, or other "cookie cutter" approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content.
    * Avoid tricks intended to improve search engine rankings. A good rule of thumb is whether you'd feel comfortable explaining what you've done to a website that competes with you. Another useful test is to ask, "Does this help my users? Would I do this if search engines didn't exist?"
    * If your site participates in an affiliate program, make sure that your site adds value. Provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.

As a result, your AdSense account has been disabled.

Additionally, as stated in our Terms and Conditions, publishers who have breached this agreement may not receive further payment. The earnings on your account will be returned to the affected advertisers. Please note that this step was taken in an effort to protect the interests of our AdWords advertisers, and to maintain the quality of the AdSense program.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Sincerely,

    The Google AdSense Team

The site I had put up the ads are at:
sleepedia.com (this is about 6 months or so, nowhere near MFA site), babybeddingbuzz.com (kinda new site), nonohairremovalx.com (over 6months site, was using cpa offer then switched to adsense about 2 months ago) and eurekavacuumparts.com (has been running adsense for over 2yrs), I have more similar site using CTRTheme but on different niches.

I really don't get it, what may cause google to disabled my account because I made babybeddingbuzz.com to earn adsense?

$1k is down the drain. Really hate it when it happened. I am giving up adsense altogether now. I worked hard to make it happen SEO wise because it is SEO that drives up the adsense income.

      Hi

eurekavacuumparts.com has a trademarke "Eureka" in the domain. I don't know if that would do it and you say the site has been up 2 years. All the sites look like the kind of sites Google would want ads on.

They look great, not thin and crappy. They have extensive articles that give good info. And they are product oriented so Google's big clients like Sears can get traffic from you.

The sites look great and you must be getting traffic to have decent AdSense income.

Have you considered switching to another ad network similar to Google?

I don't know. Why do you think google owes you because
you spent $1,000 on a website? You still have the
website. What's that got to do with google?

I don't know. Here just a little snippet of content:

"If you want to deck out your room for a girl, then pink is the perfect fit for delightful baby girl nursery décor.

If the baby were a boy, then blue would be the color of choice for most mums-to-be."

I couldn't make this stuff up!!!!

Have no idea about anything else, but the info is just generic
with no real substance. Like this:

"What is Considered a Good Baby Bedding Price Range?

Prices range depending on your needs. You can choose a basic nursery theme and spend a couple of hundred dollars or go wild with a brand name and custom outfits to ramp up the costs.

Most baby bedding crib sets range between $50 – 150.

Having said this you can splurge and pay a lot more.

Ultimately the price is determined by the choices of materials you make and how many extras you end up buying to kit out the nursery."

        Gee...ya think?

        And this polished gem:
"Where to Buy Crib Baby Bedding?

The best baby crib bedding sets can be found online. You can compare brands and styles by doing a detailed search on Google or by using your preferred search engine instead."

I won't even mention the benefits of sleeping naked, because my
boys need a home. (Regards to Kramer.)

What does google have to do with what you choose to do with
        your websites?

You made your bed, now lie in it. (Pun intended)

The reality of the others is this. Overlooked by most people, but
they violate the terms of adsense. How?

You have trademarked product names in the domains.

          Hey Paul,
Where in the AdSense terms of service have you read this?

I seem to remember i raed that in 'adsense for domains' you are not allowed to put ads on a trademarked domain. But nothing is mentioned for 'adsense for content' which i have been treating seperately.

For example, say you have a domain called ciscoproductreviews.com
Cisco is obviously trademarked, so are you saying that the above site would not be allowed to display adsesne, regardless of content?

I have about $1K in adsense last month, this is early month and I am was about to get paid and this is happened.

English is not my first language, I outsourced all my contents hence I have a hard time to tell a good and not so good contents. Unless it's really a bad one then I can tell straight away.

The eureka site has been up there top 10 for 2 years, I didn't touch it, no fresh content, no new backlinks. It's been there, rank 4-8/9. Even the latest panda update, didn't affect it.

It's hard to tell what was wrong, I tried to be on the good side but still it is wrong for google. So no more adsense for me. I have back up account but I will use it to record earning and flippa these.

I'm sorry to hear you lost your account. I'd say your English skills probably is the cause. Your site may have been hit for the following items from your list...At least that would be my guess after doing a quick review of the sites.

      * Make pages for users, not for search engines.
      * Don't load pages with irrelevant words.
      * Another useful test is to ask, "Does this help my users? Would I do this if search engines didn't exist?"
      * Make sure that your site adds value. Provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.

Your sites all have the sound and feel of someone trying to feed the search engines and pitch a product, not provide value, entertainment, or education. Plus many of your articles have very poor word selection and grammar problems.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me you are going to inform people of your problems with these sites when you try to flip them. If I stumble across your ad on Flippa and you are reporting ongoing Adsense income I will report it.

babybeddingbuzz.com looks like a very cheaply and quickly done site, it only has ONE page.

Adsense got very, very strict and their criteria might even be something like where your traffic comes from and how it converts. If, say, your traffic would mainly come from Sri Lanka or similar and hardly ever convert..that could also be a reason.

But making a one-pager would be a big no-no, but basically everything which looks like MFA is in danger of getting canned.

When i go that site i see ONE page, and no links or navigation which can remotely hint that there is more.

i am sure adsense got banned because you had it in several sites employing high CTR themes. They might have been construed[or misconstrued] as thin MFA site. With google, you have to read between the lines, as they
can't spell out everything. First, because adsense for domains
IS based solely on the domain, it's really the main thing they
      point out.

So when people take the attitude, gee google did say not
to do this...and do it...even though it breaks the spirit
of TOS, what do they think may eventually happen?

The DMCA is about copyright infringement. If you don't
think this includes trademark infringement, you are sadly
mistaken. Doing a little research would tell anyone this.

But, like I said, people get banned all the time and swear
      they did nothing wrong.

      "Gee...google never said specifically I can't use a trademarked
      domain, so..."

Well, they clearly say state you can't use copyrighted material
without permission and even mention the DMCA. One only
has to put 2 and 2 together to realize what one should not
      do.

Because others get away with it also is not an excuse.

This is the way it usually happens. Google is accused of banning someone "for no reason" and then they admit that there was a reason. Not only is your claim a violation of Google's TOS, it may also very well be a violation of FTC statutes (if you are based in the US). And, that could lead to worse things than a Google ban!

My Google Adsense account was banned some 6 months ago. I've done a bit of research and have read that it is impossible to open another account because Google would be able to detect it one way or another and shut your account down. I actually opened a new account a few weeks ago without any problem but have yet to enter in my tax information. I've heard people say that they can identify you by your social security number and ban your account again. I've also heard that they only ban by IP address and don't use personal information to ban people who have previously had an account. I'm basically looking for any information on this. Is there anyone who has had their account banned that was able to successfully open another one and be paid?

Each person in only entitled to 1 adsense account, however, you can go get a business license and open up an account under the business name and your Tax ID instead of your social security number. You are allowed to have a business account.

Truth is, only ONE person can ever have ONE Adsense account, and filing for re-view after you have been banned chances are ALMOST zero that you will get re-instated.

While it is true that only ONE individual can only have one account, a family member (spouse etc.) can of course have one too. There is also a way to open a new account as a "business account"..provided you have a legit business w/ biz address and separate bank account for the business.

You may need to create a business entity as an LLC instead of a personal account.

IP Address banning does not exist. Think about it.... Would Google really choose to shut down all people who might use:

Libraries, free WiFi zones, schools, hotels, shared internet access in apartment complexes, office buildings, and more...

Would they really ban every parent who chooses to subscribe to a proxy service who filters results to protect their children?

All of those scenarios lead to people using a single IP address in bulk. In other words, they aren't going to do it.

Even your own IP address rotates in an out to other people. It is rare for an ISP to give anyone an IP address which is static. Commonly if you shut off your cable or DSL modem over a day or two you will get a new IP address, and someone else now has your old one.

Yeah, I knew about being able to change IP addresses and what not, which is why I thought Google would be pretty stupid to ban people by IP address. And I know they're much smarter than that. Was just curious if anyone had successfully opened another individual account.

I'd expect that trend to continue. Google is on a mission to clean up their listings and create higher value for their advertisers and searchers. Their quality reviewers for search, Adsense reviewers, etc..plus Google's changes in their algorithm including Panda, are all showing a trend to demand higher quality and a reduction of SEO tricks.

If you were in Google's shoes what would you do?

As a publisher the response is fairly obvious..step up the quality, increase the value, and start working to create a following.

      Thanks Chris,

Yeah, my story is kinda weird...but very true. I wouldn't have believed it myself if it hadn't actually happened to me.

I was really shocked when they reinstated my account, because I had heard that Adwords NEVER reinstated accounts in these situations. It's also true that I gave them a piece of my mind every time I called, (probably why I don't have much left ) and told them how disgusting and unethical their treatment was. And yes, I really did call them Nazis!

I got the phone number from the help section of my Adwords Account, where it had a phone number to call...but it looks like they've removed the number and put a contact form in there now. Hmmm...maybe they got tired of people like me telling them off.

    Hi Guys and Gals,
I was wondering if some of you SEO gurus could help me out with respect to the indexing of my site, or should I say lack there of. I'll give you a little bit of background before I ask my questions :

My new site has been online since Sept 21, 2011. I have been manually building links diligently, to the point that I have quite a few links from pages with PR 3,4,&5. In Yahoo and Bing, my site cycles between the 3rd or 4th position on page 1 for my targeted keyword . Here is the dilemma, even though I am very happy with the performance in Yahoo, it's not even indexed in Google. Is this common not to be indexed for such a long time given the quality of backlinks, and good performance in other search engines?

I have 10 blog posts with good and original content, site map is ok, robots.txt is ok, site pings every time a change happens, and all affiliate links are cloaked through a php file. Furthermore, in the last couple of days (Dec. 1, 2011), I was slapped with an administration ban due to spamming phpbbacademy.com and startrekguide.com. Interestingly enough they were kind enough to give me 1467 do follow links as a consequence, each one is a page telling me that my IP has been banned and that I am a bad person in general

    My two questions are :

    1) Did I purchase a domain that has been targeted previously by Google, and now will not be indexed? Is that possible? (Since I have found older links to Bandposters.org that are not mine)

    2) Are the 1476 backlinks an attack on my site by phpbb site network to make Google think that I am a spammer and therefore an attempt to downgrade me in rankings?

I thank-you for any response or replies. Any help or info on my dilemma would be greatly appreciated. Please keep in mind that 10 weeks ago I was Googling "what's Wordpress", 6 weeks ago I was Googling "what's a backlink", and 2 weeks ago I was Googling "what's a Google sandbox"…so I am kinda new to all of this. I really don't care if Google kicks me in the nuts, since this was an introductory website building exercise, but it would be a shame if I could not get it indexed since maybe it could make me some pizza money
    Cheers, Pete.

Do you have googles webmaster tools? If not, sign up with them and use it! Submit your sitemap to them either way. Make a list of your page addresses and use a ping tool also. Shouldn't be hard to get indexed with google. Getting to the first page is a different story.

Paul and Lucid are right on. The bottom line is that Google wants to partner with professionals. Professionals read and understand TOS and work to establish a solid relationship with Google. They take the time to ask questions and fully understand how things work. They do not rely on Google to spell everything out specifically.

I had my entire site taken de-listed from Google because I released a press release and two articles too quickly - my business went from the first page to nothing in two days. Google never reply to your requests and ignore anything they don't want to deal with.

However, it taught me to be very careful with any SEO and take things slowly.

BTW - if you try and get get a new adsense account - you need

    1 New ID
    1.1 New IP address
    Clear all cookies with ccleaner
    1.2 New phone number
    1.3 New Name
    New spelling
    1.4 New Address
    Change bits of the address
    - Different flats in the same building
    - house name
    - different street
    etc.
    1.5 New Card details
    Try entropay.com

Never use chrome and maybe think about buying a new laptop!

    Hope this helps!

My suggestion to you is to get a new domain name and a separate adsense account. Start all over again instead of wasting your time over this. Your site has been penalized and you will have to tell google what did you done wrong. Your site is sitting at the mercy of google. My simple advice is- Start again!

If the adsense ads get clicks from same IP address. Google team closely watch your adsense ad clicks. If you get more adsense ad clicks form same IP mean, they consider it has automatic sofwtare or we break the adsense T&C and then they will banned our website from adsense account.

I had a Google Adwords account banned because I was selling an ebook they didn't like. They connected it with another of my accounts that I was spending $4K/month with them and they banned that one ALSO! That really hurt. And yet, I see tons of really shady ebooks for sale being advertised every day and those aren't getting banned. I think that one of my competitors flagged my ads. Moral of the story? There is a trick which I also used.
at first clear all your cookies
Signup for a new google account, don't link it with any of your google account
Next to it wait for at least 1month
then apply for a new adsense account with new name (someone your relative) and address(zip code should be different from your banned one)
now complete all 2steps of Adsense verification (you can use same blog url,but it will be better to use a new blog)
    Thats all.

From experience and I have had a lot of adsense accounts past and present firstly as mentioned before in this thread if you really need an adsense account then register a limited company (a lot of packages come with an address and Bank A/C then use a different computer to re-apply.

To do this just simply set up a new domain ( .info for $1.99 ) new IP for the site ( $2.99 on hostgator ) put up 10 PLR articles, about, privacy, contact pages. Then apply this works for me everytime!

To find out the latest on Googles banning reasons try going to their forum there is a lot of good info on there. From what I have found over the years they tend to try out new methods and loads of accounts get wrongly banned because they dont meet the new criteria.

If your feeling lazy there are a few people online that make adsense accounts in about 3 days using black hat methods, I have tried them and they seem ok actually.

As for Chakita I think its hit and miss really, some clicks do pay but only in very competitive niches like forex and their ads sometimes are not niche focussed.

Try selling downloadable products, but the best advice is really to never give up, just keep trying and getting new accounts and also work harder on your seo then you will get there.

And doesn't stay on your site, or have a bridging page between them.. Glad I am out of the adsense tos minefield .. I also could get no reason out of them for the ban.. What I have seen with goolge adsense is that once you have set up your reputation with good content sites and natural traffic then there won't be any harm. But if one try to cheat or even don't cheat but do not have good quality content sites Google will turn you down in coming time. This doesn't mean they want to eat up your money. They do the same with adword even when you spend money. They want quality publishers and quality advertisers so that the readers can have non biased or forced click on the adsence ads. Thankyou.

After reading many post on this forum about Banned by Google without any warning....I am just worry for my account to get banned.
When I open my Google Adsense there is at top page a highlighted yellow Title saying:
Your ads have recently appeared on websites you haven't authorised. To avoid lost revenue, make sure that you authorise any sites where you display ads by visiting your account settings.

and this message is there each day and may be more than a month or 2.

      What I did:
Just went to Account Setting, scroll down to Access and Authorisation, and on Sites authorised to show ads: I clicked on details and there is 2 sites on Unauthorised sites section webcache. googleusercontent.com www.google. sk and these 2 Unauthorised sites, changed each day or each weeks.

I am not sure if this is the cause, that warning title above (highlighted in yellow) appear or something else need to sort out.

On the section Authorised sites: I have only 3 websites are owned by myself.

Please advice if you have experienced this before,...

Hello, for those of you who have experienced the Google Keywords Tool temp block:

      1) How long does it usually last? I've read anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours or more.

      2) Does the ban time get refreshed every time you try it again? I've been trying to get in on and off a few hours apart and wondering if that's just postponing how soon I can get back in again.

Whilst I don't consider Google to be racist, I have a view that appeals from certain countries aren't taken as seriously as from others ~ those countries being where the 6 month rule applies.

Since that time, i have each time i try to log into my account i get told to active my already active adsense account. Secondly, i have been seeing some warning signs each time i try to search for a thing of interest on Google.com saying something like my computer or so detected traffic coming from another source. Next, if i try to log in using explorer it says "There is a problem with this website's security certificate. I don't know why you get banned (Maybe you have clicked on your ads or used proxies and VPN). You can do below solutions but I do not guarantee these solve your problem.

    1) You can open an account with different Google account and also A NEW Living Address.

    2) Signup with another payee name (If you are based in USA, you can change it later.

    3) Signup with another Static IP. (Do not use proxies and VPN)

Everything unusual can make you banned.

Its gone your chance of reinstatement is close to zero
They reserve the right to ban anyone any time without notice and without explaining to you why and they will keep any of your unpaid earnings .
This makes the appeal process a joke

    Greetings,

I started a thread(Can Google De-Index Select Pages from a Site?) a couple of days ago entitled in another part of the forum where I inquired about the following:

Originally Posted by herms View Post

I have a site where I sell many different products, each with their own product page. I used to have the number 2 and number 3 position on the first page of google for 2 items that were variations of each other(one regular and the other a different flavor/ scent). Google panda update knocked'em out. Now I have someone writing some better product descriptions so that my backlinking may be more effective. However, I've searched google a couple of times for those particular product pages under the keyword phrase I've always used(backlinked) for them. I go through about 50+ pages of results and I don't see either page. I see other pages from my site for OTHER variations of the product, but not those 2 that were on the first page in position 2 and 3 prior to the panda.

So I'm just wondering if google deindexes only select pages from a site rather than a whole site altogether. And if so, will adding better content cause them to reindex it or should I just focus on other products because that's just over now?

    Thanks.

I can see that the pages are still in google when I do a search this way "site:yourdomain.com keywords here". But when I just search by the keywords, those 2 pages just don't show up.

    Any ideas/ advice?

I have been banned by Adsense too, not sure why yet. Forget about them, you won't get your account back. Shortly after that they cut my AdWords (!!!) which I must have used 2-3 times, and then my Google places (I was getting an error message with a link from Google telling me to modify one entry but I didn't have access to modify anything, so they just banned that too).

I once accidentially clicked on one of my Adsense header Ads not even thinking about what it was at the time. I was frantic, having read online about others who had gotten their accounts terminated. I immediately emailed them and explained the situation. I received a reply thanking me for advising them and saying that they are aware that this does happen occasionally. They included steps to take to prevent it from happening in the future and so far, Adsense account still in good standing.

You are doing something seriously wrong. You are clearly breaking TOS. I suspect it is because you are either not reading them or not understanding them.

Google has to protect their advertisers firsts and for most. That is an enormous chunk of their revenue. If they suspect you are breaking the TOS they will not hesitate to yank your account even if its questionable they will not risk it. Your only option is to get an LLC and register the account under that. Also you will not be able to use any domains or anything else that was once a part of the banned account. If it took you that long to make a few hundred bucks then I would say try something else. You should have been making what took you 3 years to make, in 1 day. I have done tests with Chitica and they just dont pay as much as Adsense. I think its a waste of time. There is no other ad network that is as good as Google. That being said, just follow the TOS and you will never have a problem.

      hi everyone, i need help..

i also have a problem. i started my google adsense account on january this year, on a few new blogs i made.. After some time, i bought an domain and made blog. Unluckily, on 2. february my site was hacked, and the home page was changed (now i know why you shouldnt get the cheapest hosting).. when i woke up, i solved the problem, but i saw that spider was logged in during this situation. I was waiting for about a week until i made my first backlink, but my site wasnt indexed yet. i thaught i should get more backlinks, so i made a lot of them.. Few days after i was banned from google adsense. Is there a possibility that im banned because of the hackers, or i made a mistake making backlinks on a fresh site?

The second problem is that my site isnt indexed yet, more than a month from submitting it.

      Can anyone help me?
      Thanx

My Adwords was suspended from Google and they told me all new accounts will be rejected. This was about 2 weeks ago.

I made a video advertising my search engine on Youtube and after a week I was wondering why my ad had not shown up. That Monday I get and email saying I was banned, two days later after my account was banned my ad was rejected.

They claim it was due to TOS violations from 2010...... Fisrt of all banning me for something I might have done 2 years ago is crap. They seen it was search engine and banned me period. I have spen THOUSANDS advertising on Google and they had no problem taking my money. Google Adwords in registered as an advertising company NOT a search engine. If McDonalds owned a newspaper are they going to say Burger King can't advertise in it? I think not.

Bottom line, this is blatent antitrust violation and we have taken steps against this. Also, we have outlined they fact that they hide true algorythm disclosure on how they gather and rank information using this to their advantage by raking higher than anyone for keywords they choose to rank number 1 for on over 700 keywords.

Did Google shut me down because I have a search engine and they are scared of competition probably not. Do they know we are gaining more traffic and providing better search results then they do?

    They do now.

I would really doubt that is why they actually shut it down. I have seen multiple website using the Inout Search Engine script like you and they are actively advertising on Adwords. In fact I have seen Adbrite clones being advertised on Adwords as well without any problems.

I see the OP has been banned, but I wanted to add my 2 cents anyway.

If you are banned or something goes wrong with your primary method of monetizing your site, it's always a good idea to have a backup source. Whether that's another ad network, some Amazon products, eBay products, Clickbank products, or your own products.

A very large portion of making success happen is planning and foresight, in my opinion. There are a lot of other factors, but you absolutely must have a contingency plan to recover from something as big as losing your income source. Sign up for as many other ad networks as you can, in the off chance that you need them one day. Take some time to go over your next-in-line source to figure out exactly how to install it on your site, so you can be up and running in under and hour after losing the primary source.

It's a bummer to lose an account, but there are many, many other options out there. Find a few and have them ready.

Like others have said, the low income rate over 3 years time might spur a change in monetizing anyway. Look at Amazon, eBay, Clickbank or Google's affiliate program. Try out some CPA networks or find an advertiser to bill on a monthly basis for ad space. The sky is the limit. I hope everything worked out for the better.

My adsense account was deleted also and at first I was very angry and I thought because I was making good money per month they took me off but really here is what I think I did wrong.

1- I put frame with color around my ad
2- I put adsense on a page that has only one link with no content

Basically I did violate it but I did not know because I have so many sites and I forgot to delete one that has frame and also has no content.

So you may want to check your sites carefully because I feel that they do have reason to take you off.

The worst thing here is -- no explaination at all...

        hey all,

didn't want to start a new topic over this as I'm sure someone might know what's going on. I'm not too experienced what comes to SEO.

thing is, I have about 3 months old website in upcoming niche. ranking was going up slowly but surely, and been adding new unique content and social bookmarking advertising as well.

I ranked with 3 of my keywords in TOP#12 yesterday (main keyword #3), and today, I rank with only one at #46 (was #5 yesterday)

I got couple of gigs from fiverr for 10-20 .edu profile links etc. but haven't done any really dodgy stuff with this site.

ALSO, I have this SEO toolbar for searches and now when I do a search, my website gives me this:

        | PR: 0 | Age: - | Y! .edu Links: 18,100 | Y! .gov Links: 55 | Y! .edu PageLinks: 15,100 |

and when doing site:mydomain.com some of sites pages get:

Y! .edu Page Links: 1,270,000 (that is my sites about page)

how is that possible???? those don't show up in anywhere, meaning can't find .edu pages that would link to my site. I think 1.2 million is rather difficult to hide?

is someone spamming the links on my behalf? and getting me penalised? or what those numbers mean?

I am still indexed in google with all of my pages, I have still my adsense account active, nor haven't got any notification of any not-allowed activities etc.

is this due some dodgy few .edu profile links? is this google dance? but how do you explain those .edu links?

thoughts and comments more than welcome...

Even inadvertent self-clicks or influenced clicks could trigger alerts that could get a publisher account banned. While adsense bans are more common, adwords bans are also possible. These typically happen if TOS is violated, which could manifest in a variety of ways. One of those is where multiple accounts are opened (i.e. without it being a MCC, which does allow multiple accounts per TOS).

If the cause for publisher ban isn't because of invalid click activity, you could consider various other publisher networks to monetize. Our own, which is free to join, is in the footer below (unless there is invalid click activity detected (directly influenced, indirectly influenced or bot clicks), our publishers remain in good standing and are able to benefit even better than just from typical PPC, as what we offer scales from PPC to CPA advertising by the network advertisers.

Everyone has said the right things, you definitely have to focus on what you can do now to make an income. There are other ways to monetize but I do know the feeling of having something that works like that making you a good income taken away in a flash.

I know it is a tough time but you must be strong, walk away from the game for a while but comeback re energized and get to work again on how you will build an income online. The sad part about the adsense program is that they can randomly ban you and you really cannot get your account back.

We all heard the horror stories but really do not compare to when it really happens to you. A monetizing method I am looking into is amazon, I really do like the concept of being able to make an income based on people buying products that they would have bought regardless, they just happen to buy it from your affiliate link.

You can't reclaim your adsense account but you can get or create a new one. Just create a new email add from a different site. You must not create another email address using the info you used for the first one so the best way is to create a new email account and a new adsense account.

    Best of Luck.

If you've been an AdSense publisher for a while, you must have surely encountered people who complain about being kicked out of the AdSense program for no good reason. Although there are cases when the publisher may have been unfairly terminated, there is also reason to believe that most account terminations are in fact done for valid reasons.

Google is important to some degree but I think people put too much emphasis on them. There are so many good affiliate programs out there and some even better then Google. Also, when it comes to placement - Bing and Yahoo have value too and keep their terms primarily steady.

There are so many that it's really hard to choose, but I am going with skimlinks, Clixgalore and Bidvertiser.

I got banned a couple of weeks ago.

I see now that putting Google ads was an easy option, whereas putting real CHOSEN ads is harder, but maybe more tuned and so maybe more effective.

Skimlinks earns while I am looking for relevant ads, Bidvertiser is context-sensitive and Clixgalore is targeted.

Too early to tell yet whether they are the right ones, a friend said to add Clicksor to the mix, but I'm not sure yet.

      Good luck,

      Three letters ----> T O S

People refuse to abide by TOS and violate them (knowingly or unknowingly). This is why bannings occur.
The trouble is that their TOS are so vague. You could read the TOS ten times over and still inadvertently get banned.

You give the impression that people who get banned are careless and irresponsible, and I simple don't believe that to be true a lot of the time.

So far I have not been banned...yet...

I was with Google for about 10 years.
I never bought or swapped links, but they kicked me out with a general 'explanation', no examples, no remedies and no reply to my emails.

They can get shafted by new-comers ASAP as far as I'm concerned.
They are too arrogant, high and mighty.

Actually, I believe this is the case more often than not. I've seen it a million times in these forums. This is how it usually goes:

        OP:
ZOMG! Google banned me for no reason!

OTHERS: How terrible! Those evil people!

KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE: You probably broke TOS

OP: No way! All my content was quality! I bought 3 high quality articles for $1 per 100 words! See for yourself! (OP then provides link to site)

KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE: Your content is awful and looks spun. The domain name (curingbackacnewithexperimentaldrugs.info) is also spammy and against Webmaster Guidelines

OP: No it's not! What do you know about Google anyway? You don't work for them so you can't possibly know what's the problem. I even was using AdWords to drive traffic to it! They don't want my money.

KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE: So you were practicing arbitrage?

OP: No, I was simply buying AdWords traffic and sending it to my informational site. The keywords I was targeting on AdWords had a lower CPC than the ones on my site.

KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE: So, you WERE practicing arbitrage?

OP: No, I don't even know what that is.

KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE: And that's why you were banned.

OP: You aren't Google so you don't know what you are talking about.

Now, of course, this is just one example but it illustrates how people get banned for stuff simply because they do not understand the TOS. Instead of asking questions FIRST, they go long, blissfully unaware that they are breaking all sorts of TOS along the way. When they get tagged by Google, they claim ignorance.

              Yeah?

Well, when someone has lost access to the best ad network of all time, the last thing they need to hear are words like you wrote.

Better to say nothing if you have nothing helpful to say.

EG: your young daughter gets run over, someone says: 'It is best not to let kids play on the street'.

Not sympathetic - it is better to shut up and keep your opinions to yourself, if you can't help.

Those that did wrong know it already, but some that got caught in the trap were innocent.

You can join alternative program for your "banned website". like amazon, and you can use this domain to make money from infolinks and another PPC. Then You can re-apply to Google Adsense using a new and a fresh website and a fresh and a new gmail and dont open again your gmail that was banned. the reason is security of your new adsense account.

      I didn't say 'killed'.
Most people who are run over are not killed - you are exaggerating, not me.

Anyway, the point is that many innocent people have lost their Adsense a/c for no good reason.

No offence meant, I'm just as sick of hearing people who have not lost their a/c giving advice, as you are of listening to wingers.

My point is that most who "claim" they were banned for no reason, were, in fact, banned for good reason. Sure, there are exceptions but the large majority of bannings are legit.

Got a quick question (theoretically of course)

If somebody was banned from AdSense, could they get a new adsense going again if:

    - They created a new website with a new name/new domain name
    - They setup a new gmail account
    - Change local IP address from service provider (is this necessary?)
    - Change IP of my hosting server

In that event, would it be possible to start a new adsense account?

Like in the above case YOU MUST use tracking. You know why? Sabotage. People can click on your ads multiple times to get you banned. I know it sucks but it happens. Competition is fierce. If you can point out the IP that is doing it though (through your tracking) and show google the evidence they will reinstate you. In my case I could not prove who the culprit was. The take fraud very serious and expect you to be able to prove it was not you. Guilty until proven innocent.

That's why you check stats and there are plugins available to only show your ads to certain visitors.

It's crucial to monitor your account at least on a daily basis. No more set it and forget it.

Most problems can be solved if you stay monitoring things.

From what I've heard you can get banned from Adsense for just about any reason and you may never know the exact reason why. Maybe someone you showed your site to, a friend or family member decided to "help" you by clicking on the ads a lot. That could get you banned. Don't worry Friend, Adsense isn't the only way to make money online. Best wishes for peace of mind. Carole

Re the last point - Hostgator..

Of the Six or Seven hosting companies that I've spread my hosting risk over, Hostgator is by far the worst experience I've had. I am not sorry to say it either as the One above knows, I've given them plenty of chances to clean up the mess they have made of hosting 10 to 20 sites with them. 2 years of effort at full cost later I've learnt my lesson.

    Migrating the sites now..

If you are slow moving they are great at Hosting, sure loads would agree they have had no problems with Hostgator. Well that's great, but for those who move faster than manana think again.

Just get a new hosting IP and domain and re-aply for a new adsense account. If your on a budget get free domain name - like co.cc and free hosting account.

I have multiple adsense accounts using free hosting that issues different IP's for each domain (like ClassC ) G. hasn't banned any of my adsense accounts and all of my free hosted domains are indexed.

I recently got banned as I did not follow their TOS, you cant out smart them, you have to follow the rules. I made an appeal to get my account reinstated , but they just ignored me. They have a responsibility to their advertisers, and this is very important, imagine if you were spending 1000 on ad-words and it was all fake clicks or irrelevant traffic, you would probably stop spending on ads, and this Google wants to avoid

Anyways follow the rules and you will be fine, don't try to out smart them

Forget Adsense, try another PPC, such as Chitika, Infolinks. They are great. My friend play adsense, and not use trick or blackhat. He is religious, so he use white hat SEO only. But when his earning reach USD 3,000.
No reasons, Google sent love letter to him. He got banned

There are a lot of different ad platforms out there. It's a matter of finding what's the best option for your specific site.
Google does have strict policies; if you don't meet their standards and stick to their rules they can close your account in a matter of seconds..

I would advise to try other platforms, especially regarding small/startup publishers that haven't built a significant amount of traffic yet.

When it comes to profiting from traffic, these are the steps I recommend (in this order!)
      1. Focus on making content relevant and interesting to your target audience
      2. Sign up to Google Analytics and check your website views REGULARLY (and by this I mean daily or even a few times a day)
3.Find an ad platform that can offer you the best payment model (CPA, CPC, CPM, etc.)
I'm not saying anything new here, but surprisingly, we publishers tend to forget these simple principles.

As the creator of a new ad platform, I can tell you this is the best way to monetize traffic. If you choose according to the right criteria, you'll do well regardless.

Hope this helps and good luck to all!

I don't understand, you 100%, but bear this in mind:

I was with Adsense for about 10 years
I never bought sold or exchanged links
Nothing changed for TEN YEARS and then G cancelled my a/c with no explanation.
That was three months ago and still no reason.

I'm not banned from AdSense, but I've had to remove it from many of my sites due to policy violation (I got a warning about the subject matter).

Day 4 into my self-imposed AdSense ban, AND I'M MAKING MORE FROM CPA OFFERS THAN I USED TO MAKE FROM ADSENSE.

AdSense makes us lazy. The other good thing is that to make money from CPA, you really need a decent site, and upping quality is always a good thing.

My tips - look for merchants with their own affiliate schemes. And any site that's hard to monetize w/o AdSense - flog it on Flippa.

You havent been paid from Adsense in three years and you're still working with them? You should have contacted them a long time ago and changed your payment options. They work through PayPal, wire transfer and a bunch of other methods. My advise is contact them IMMEDIATELY, or check to see if the banners are still even running on your site.
Also, you can try working with other ad platforms that also offer a variety of payment options.

In my opinion, donot rely on traffic from search engines too much. It should be around 30% do that the traffic doesnot go down strongly when the website is in sandbox .

Now, everything has happened, what you need to do are :

1/ Check the webmaster tools to see if there is email notification that the site broke the rule
2/ Ask the support team that there is any issue from your site
3/ Check the virus and copyright policy
4/ Check if there is iframe or script, or any content sneaky ,cloak , ....

This is how they do, they just ban you.
It's highly likely that Google has too much to pay out and they're scrapping the members... they need the big players and they scrap the small fish...

Several lesser-known reasons for getting banned:
    -using PPC networks, Facebook advertising
-visiting your own site too frequently without clicking on your ads
-putting ads in "too strategic" places, such as above fold...

If you earn well, then they will get suspicious and start scanning your activity...

It is also possible that a nasty competitor or "friend" reported something on your site to AdSense...

Don't worry - AdSense isn't the only game in town. It's not even the best game, unless perhaps your site has a broad interest range.

For niche sites there are ALWAYS alternatives. I got a warning from the big G and took AdSense off half of my sites. 4 weeks later and I'm now comfortably beating AdSense!

And if you can't find a different way to monetise, then sell your existing sites on Flippa and build some new ones!

I agree that this SHOULD be the case. if you have niche sites you OUGHT to be able to find better ads than Google, but I still can't beat my old Google income.

I have tried and detest Clickbank and CJ.

I am using Bidvertiser, Clixgalore, Share-A-Sale and Skimlinks.

      Nonsense.

I think that's the biggest pile of crap I've ever heard.

If you did that. I.e. Got banned then tried again with the same name and address and got approved each time and then got banned again 7 days later and you did that 50 times exactly, either you're lying or you're deranged.

Personally I'd have a bet on it being both of them.

I don't have a problem with Googles TOS - what I do have a problem with is that when they send you a violation letter - they know exactly what the problem/violation is and which domain(s) are causing the problem, however in their letter they state that you have violated the TOS and need to remove/fix the violation and it is up to you to figure out which site is causing the problem and what the problem is.

If they didn't know that's one thing - but whats the logic for not letting the account owner know when they have the information?

I have adsense in a couple of sites. I was using SEO through article writing and bookmarking and the sites were doing well. I got a card from Google to insert certain number in my account. That is when all hell let loose- I couldn't log in.
    (a) I tried all my gmail accounts to login- No way. Every time there is a message: "There is no adsense account linked to this email"
    (b) I requested password through all my gmail accounts- To no avail, the same message as 'a' above.
(c ) I went through all the processes needed in their help section- No resolution.

    (d) I even tried to open another Adsense Account, but was refused.
    (e) I then sent email through the reply address of the refusal- It bounced back.
The interesting thing is that Google adverts are still live on the sites. I know after 3 months of not putting the code, the adverts will be deactivated. My questions are: (1) Has anybody got such experience before? (2) If so, how did you solve it?
    Thanks for reading this post.

I did quite well with Chitika, but it only really works with shopping niches. I've had a couple of payouts from my InfoBarrels, and I didn't even know it was on them.

Also NEVER use scraped content with AdSense. Last week I found somebody had stolen ALL of my HubPages and turned them into a MFA site! Needless to say I did report them to the AdSense team, because why should somebody else get rich from MY work?

The Warriors have given you a lot of good advice. But I'm curious.

What was your traffic like? How many unique visitors did you get every day?

Depending on your traffic, you can make money with other ad networks. Especially CPA.

Yeah, you're win-win with removing AdSense from your sites.

If your traffic is good you'll make far more money from other offers. And if your traffic is junk well other places will give you 1 cent clicks anyway - most ad networks have 1 cent minimum CPC bids.

Mine was suspended 2 months ago. I'm pretty sure I know what I did wrong. It wasn't their fault, BUT it is apparently non negotiable. Once you're done , you're done. I will try to open another gmail account from a different IP, and see how it goes. I only lost $67, but it's just the idea of it. I will also be working OTHER sources of online income. Bing has something like adsense. I'll be looking into that. I heard a couple people saying Chitika is no good. I'm making a little from it, but it's just NOT adsense...

    AdSense or AdWords?

Chitika isn't bad, but it only really works if your site is ecommerce related.

Losing AdSense isn't the end of the world, in fact it's often the beginning of a big new chapter in your online moneymaking career!

I just got banned by Google too. And I'm really pissed! They said my website is SPAM!

I do have a lot of articles that were posted somewhere else but not so many as to mark my site as spam. Most of the articles on the site are original content that I wrote or one of my writers did.

You are not alone. I got some help from a Google employee and he submitted my reconsideration request to the spam team.

This is the tricky part, they said they're going to look at all of my sites to determine if they're all spam and they may ban me altogether.

Well, you know that you could solve your problem if you didn't take articles from somewhere else as you specifically stated. On top of that, one of your writers may have additionally been taking articles from somewhere else, so you two together could of caused your problem.

And knowing that you have articles taken from somewhere else, which does make your site spam, why would you agree to let them look at your other sites and possibly ban you altogether?

Have you got any DMCA requests? I only ask because a lot of people buying articles are often unaware that their writers are stealing whole articles. I found a site that had stolen every single one of my HubPages!

Don't worry though - if your niche is a good one then there will be many other ways of monetising your site.

    Thanks
    Hey,

In regards to detected traffic coming from another source" were you by any chance behind vpn such as HMA? That maybe the reason why. or someone hacked into your home/work network.

My friend got a "poor quality content" type of AdSense violation warning... my guess is there's gonna be a whole load more people banned in the new year. I think Google are cracking down on PLR blogs, duplicate and copied content and that sort of thing. If your site doesn't have mainly OC on it then be wary about monetising it with AdSense. Also remember to check work you've had outsourced - there's whole armies of Indians/Filipinos copying existing articles (including my own) and telling you that they've written unique content.

If you are still using AdSense, then make sure you've got some alternative monetisation strategies lined up...

That's the best advice you could have received. I always make sure I have multiple streams of income. For example, I make money from AdSense, my press release writing services and from writing articles.

If one of those income streams dries up, I have the others to fall back on to make sure I'm always making money [:-)

i used to make nothing too crazy, around 500-800 euro's a month trough adsense. My traffic was mainly from classified ads very related to the niche my blog was about, so actually all the visitors were really targeted to the generated ads. They banned me for clickfraud, i have never ever clicked my own ad or let a friend do it. Tryed to contact them but as usual it was completely useless.
Now i work with a adsense account on a friend's name trying mainly generate organic traffic but its so hard, barely make 20$ a month trough it -_-

"Doing maintenance" has nothing to do with invalid clicks. You clicked your own ads, maybe accidentally. Intentionally or unintentionally, Google doesn't care. It's seen a click fraud and is a serious offense.

Google have quite the monopoly which is unfortunate for us. I was also slammed by them a few years ago - they even red flagged my site within the seach engine so when you searched and my site came up it said in red letters "site compromised". My rank went through the floor and all sales ceased. Needless to say I began again and after 3 years, got ranked and was doing well when along came the latest Google update and BANG!!!! Im relegated to the bottom again. I am so anti Google but due to the power they possess and forced to run my business using them.

You should never open your two AdSense accounts from same IP addresses. Sometimes both the accounts will be banned instantly. And AdSense nowadays bans only individual sites, but not a complete account. Try your luck again with a new domain, address and email ID. You might get approved immediately if you follow the AdSense standard metrics like,

    Minimum 50 Posts/Article Pages
    Install Google Analytics Code
    Verify Google Webmasters Page
    Verify Bing Webmasters Page
    Get a Sitemap
    Create your Robots.txt
    Have decent Alexa Rank
Make a Privacy Policy page, Disclaimer page, and Terms of use page
Apply with your own Own Email ID
    Have atleast 50+ traffic

Follow this and you will get approval within 3 days! I got 3 like this!
