Are you sure there are ads on there? Sheesh, that page is so busy, I had to search for your ads. You should put a banner ad under your menu and before your content. Also put a vertical banner ad down the right side. I think you also need to reduce the clutter a bit. You want people to notice your ads and google wants that too. Google doesn't like when ads match the content too much because they dont want the users to think they are clicking on a link to your page when it is actually an ad.

Also, your ad at the top of the page, is all the way to the right on my screen. You need it centered with the rest of your page.

Anyway, if you want an example of ad type and placement, check out this page: metric conversions I'll post where you can send the $50 later.

Hey it's very easy .... You need am overhaul ... Your website just attracks more on the right side ... This means that ... People tend to look more on the right than on your left where you ads are placed at ... You only get clicks when visitors find that the ads are more interesting than the pictures on the right ... What i would suggest is .. The remove the pictures ... And place a banner on the top and an ad on the right ... Sky scrapper maybe ? Then male your ads more appearing ... And not dead ... If you don't get what I mean... Just hit me back ... I will be glad to explain more ...

Hey man, I realize there is an ad on top of the logo ... What I would suggest is to.. Remove thT and place your logo on top... Then you have a slideshow banner on the right side too right ? I believe if you place your adds there instead of the banner it would generate at least 50% of your clicks.. That's the main attraction so it would catch the eye of the visitor..

The job listing with pictures on the right ? Are those affiliate links ? If they aint they I would suggest you move them to the left ... Limit them as well ... Because currently the main attraction is all the colorful pictures ...

Place an add on the right side ... Therefore only having two ads per page ... On the left side of the page is strictly for content ...

You can also ad ads on the bottom
Of the page if you want ... You may never know who clicks them

Let me know what you think or if you need me to explain .. I shall pass you my email add when I am home

But good luck hope it helps

i do not have a slideshow on the right side. i changed the placement a little bit now.

the pictures on the left were not affiliates. they are other recent jobs with their logo. i removed the logo now and placed an ad on the right side in each job posting.

              could you have another look?

              thanks so much

Sorry to be critical but realize one thing

the purpose of an Adsense site is to get people to click on Adsense

You want to make your site somewhat interesting but not interesting enough or distracting enough to make them ignore your Adsense Ad

again you are trying to get them TO CLICK ON ADSENSE AD

thats the whole purpose of the site

    right?

Why do you have to have the logos of all those aide groups on the site?
Those are relevant to the site but totally confusing to the eye

I would NEVER notice Adsense ad or click on Adsense on your site
the logos totally distract my eyes. so why have them there? Just put a text list of the aid groups

You have a single image banner above the fold, I doubt you get very many clicks.

Adsense Image Ads suck as far as CTR IMO, from my own testing on multiple sites.

The one Adsense banner next to the logo is a Google Ad, you'll be lucky If they pay you $0.05 per click (seriously).

    hi

thanks for the replies. To clarify. This is a job board no blog or something like this.

Please look at the ad position in a job ad not just on the main page.

and yeah, i only got google ads on my page. and i get a lot more than 0.05 per click, a lot more. its just too few clicks. the payout is really good.

I increase the reward to 100 USD.

    regards,
    nicolas

Here are a few tips by me:

On your left side where is your text ad, above of that you have your site menu. Under that is your text ad. Change text ad to link ad with same font color as in your menu. And change menu font and size to get along with adsense link ad.

Next, below your top menu, also put adsense 728x15 link ad with same color as your top menu font color.

Give me an update are this went good or not.

I am facing low CTR with my sites as well. Just sharing some of the things I've tried. Maybe you'll find these tips useful for your site too.

    1) Change the ads on the right (below the menu) to ad links type - this will look like an extension to your menu.
    2) Add a skyscraper (120x600 or 160x600) on the right - this is where most right-handed users will hover their mouse pointer most of the time.
    3) Change your ad colors to match your site color - this will make them look more natural and 'blends into' your site.

    Hope this helps.

Hey, I just realized that mrgood had suggested similar improvements. Gotta give him credit for that.

Also, I agree with other thats those colorful boxes at the center takes too much attention. Maybe you can grayscale them and have them change to colored version when user hover their mouse?

Google tell you what the best placements are the darker areas get the best clicks.

Just test and and I recommend blending your ads.

Your internal job pages keep crashing my browser (Chrome).

Maybe because you never fixed the Chrome problem?

Google Chrome browser is closing in on 1/3 of all browser traffic.

If you don't fix the Chrome issue on your internal pages, your not even trying to increase your CTR, IMO.

If 1/3 of the traffic can't see your Ads because of browser related problems, they won't be clicking your Ads.

Fix the easy stuff first, hire someone to fix the Chrome problem If you have to.

@slomo: thats what i am talking about. you see only this ad cause you dont look through my site. noone does and thats why i dont get good feedback.

Swap the Ad Title & Ad URL colors, run it for a full week (longer is better data) before any other changes.
