Hi,

The number of clicks in adsense account are showing very less as compared to the exit links stats in the stat counter. The numbers are less than one third in adsense account. I doubt if the adsense clicks count are fare!

Does anyone else has noticed this?

I have one site with 400 visitors a day, and an average of 2 AdSense impressions per day, I've even visited a few pages myself on that site, and looked at the AdSense on the page, and still AdSense numbers show less impressions than the ones I looked at with my own eyes! Even more obvious, I have exactly 1 AdSense impression every day each, for several of my sites that have not existed at all for several years. Google is dishonest, plain and simple.

I doubt Google is dishonest, most likely they have simply deemed the clicks invalid. Also are you sure your ad units are setup correctly on every page of your site?

Google only counts real human clicks on the urls.
Statcounter will count anything and everything in
and around the ads. Big difference. If people click
accidentally, on the text, statcounter counts it.
Even anywhere in the ad box, white space included.

How many of us click anywhere on a page just to
define the cursor placement? This is especially
true if you have ads at the very top, and on the
right side. People naturally put a cursor at the top,
and that pesky scroll bar on the right can set
off a slew of accidental clicks, or non clicks.

Statcounter is lousy at keeping track of real clicks.

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

Your logic seems correct. Thanks but I still doubt that google is counting the clicks correctly.

That leads me to only one question... Why the heck are you still using them?

Once you have concluded anyone is "dishonest, plain and simple" you should cut your ties to them.

Yeah that has happened to me. Another crazy thing that I've noticed are the clicks getting higher and my earnings for the day decreasing!

For example the other morning I saw that I had 2 clicks that brought in .36 cents total for the day. Then a few minutes later I checked back and find that I had 4 clicks this time but my total earnings for today went down to .16 cents! CRAZY

Google doesn't own statcounter so why would you think the data should be the same?

    Statcounter can't track Adsense clicks.

Google keep tracking from which the click comes from, If its from the same IP then they just cancel it
