How Do You Squidoo?

So I hear that Squidoo pages help boost rankings, but I'm not clear on what you guys are actually doing there. I made one page and pointed it to my site, but that left me under-whelmed.

How do I utilize Squidoo effectively?

Do you make a separate page for each article on your site?
What sort of content do you add? How long is it?
Is the content unique?
Are there limits to how many Squidoo pages one can make and point to the same site/page?

You can make one broad lens on your site's topic and then a lens for each keyword that you target. I like to do this - one lens per keyword.
[*]What sort of content do you add? How long is it?

Just consider it kind of like a blog or article directory. It's not meant to be anything salesy. Provide good free information and hyperlink back to your domain. I like to do one intro of 200-250 words, plus at least 2 more text modules with the same length, so 750ish words total. (And other modules like Polls, guestbook, Amazon spotlight, etc)

Yes.
[*]Are there limits to how many Squidoo pages one can make and point to the same site/page?

No, unlimited - and you have even have unlimited accounts - one for each niche that you're in. All allowed.

If you are new to Squidoo and are still struggling to understand how and why it works, there is a free .pdf report available at The High Speed Crash Course For TOTAL Squidoo Newbies that answers the most basic questions about Squidoo and provides links to further reading on individual topics that may be of interest to you.

It's a great site and a great platform to leverage for web traffic once you learn how to use it :-)

Well after you published the lens i would bookmark the page on different accounts (not all at once-spamming) and on different sites, i would check and add some related tags, i would search for groups sharing your interests and join or even creating your own group, keywords based. enroll some favorite lenses sharing your keywords, (they will see u and usually it's paying back), feed to yahoo groups and other sharing your keywords, update your lens and keep it fresh and most important, stick with those tasks........
