Go for the hyphen I say. The .co will get mispelled or misremembered as a .com anyway

Using a .org is better than .co, but make sure you put the SEO effort to get your site ranked higher.

Hi, I have a number of EMD websites with and without hyphens and they all perform equally as well without requiring any extra SEO effort. As for .co .info .biz I've always been told to steer clear of these as you will have difficulty ranking. Go for the hyphenated option everytime as long as there are no more than two hyphens. As far as the search engines are concerned they only see a hyphen as a space between words, so in some cases this my prove usual punctuation for the keyphrase you're trying to rank.
    Good luck!

There appears to be some debate as to whether .info, .biz, .net, .co can really hurt rankings
I have heard some say that they are able to achieve good rankings with them
The question I have is why do they cost less, if they are not used as much?

.CO or using Hyphen Domain, both are just domain names and it has very little effect on your rankings (neglectable). Things which contribute more in ranking is your Web Host Location, Content, Onpage Factors and Backlinks.

Yes there is a visitor behavior to confuse .CO with .COM so people directly coming to your site may face difficulties.

    Thanks

This thread is so full of BS it's pathetic.

Come on WF users! Get a grip on reality.

.co is for columbia? (They are global, actually)

      .org is best for seo?

google states a preference for hyphenated domains?

Where in the world are you people getting your stuff?

domain like .co, .in, .us are demographically limited, they can only get better rankings in respective search engines easily, it's very hard to rank them in Google.com,
