50% + CTR has me Nervous

Serious business Yo.

So I'm getting nervous. I checked my Adsense account and saw some sweet Adsense Cheddar.

But then I take a look at the numbers and do a double take. Like straight outta Sitcom 101.

Check it:

Page Views 48

Clicks 27

WHAT WHAT?

And what if it is one person doing all them clicks.

Maybe its a good Samaritan type fellow.

But maybe its a cunning and devious type looking to get my ADSENSE account locked up like O.J.

If I am getting all them visitors to click out then that is sweet as apple pie on Sunday. But I hope its not one lone clicker. I am dreading the idea of one lone clicker out there somewhere.

Help me out Warriors. What should I do? Should I be worried. Should I be paranoid.

Serious answers please. Toss in some other jive if you want, but put the truth on me as well.

Warriors: How can you tell if you is getting most of your clicks from one visitor or getting it spread out. Ideally I want 100 percent of visitors to click out on an add, but only one add. They see my sweet Adsense Site then bounce off through an ad.

I had that problem and got my site banned, so it is something to worry about.

A possible solution would be to add a frequency cap, so a user can only get an ad once. If you can't do that with code you can use a service like openx.

Hope that helps, and good luck

Did a quick Google search on frequency cap and don';t understand how that would work. I understand what you are saying, but not how to implement it.

The bottom line is that you need to limit ad views per unique visitor

I hear you. But how can I do this?

How can I prevent saboteurs from looking to mess up my hustle.

Did you get paid for each click?
I mean...if your usual CPC is $1, did your adsense account get credited with ~$27 from those clicks?
If one person is click bombing your site, it will count all of the clicks, but only get paid for one click.
I had a friend of mine click one of my ads 25 times due to ignorance, thinking I'd get paid for each click, but Google counted all 25 clicks, but I only got paid $1.
That's a good way to find out if the clicks are from one person or not.

      Hi,

I got paid...but it was less than normal.

For instance, when i got 1 click it was a buck fifty (about) These clicks were like .20 cents a piece.

I am more concerned with my account being banned.

I am just starting out with the Adsense Hustle. It would be a shame to go down in flames just as I was ascending.

      Thanks for the info.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Does this normally happen a lot with the particular site? It also depends on your niche. Today for instance I have a site that's 85% CTR and it once was 125%. I noticed though that my sites that are in a specific niche usually get more CTR so it's really nothing to worry about in my opinion. I'm sure Google knows some niches get more clicks than others.

Yep... don't worry so much, Big G is smart enough to know for invalid clicks... and knows that the click is not coming from you.

I think for that many clicks if it was click fraud from one loan clicker you wouldnt be getting credited for those clicks as Googles technology would flag it fast, but I couldnt be sure?

Maybe you have super relevant ads showing

Maybe even shoot adsense support a message and let them know of your concern, despite what everyone says I find them to be quite responsive.

Sorry its a bit vague but hope it helps

    Hey Ya'll

So I checkd again and here is what i see.

    Page Views 152

    Clicks 79

    CPC .08

My CPC was like a buck fifty.

    So its being reduced.

ALSO I checked Statcounter....because I have statcounter installed on my Blogspot like a boss.

Says I only got like 32 unique visits. but 140 something page loads.

Come on man, why they trying to take me down like that?

I dont want people who visit clicking more than once. Be reasonable man.

I am looking forward to some sweet organic traffic.

    Thanks for the feedback everyone.

There's no data for that term being searched on Google. You need to do better keyword research. Something like "liposuction nyc" is better, but it is harder to rank for. How do you go about your KW research?

Most of those clicks aren't valid and you're not getting money from them. But it looks like your cpc is down because you're real earnings are just being displayed as average over all the clicks, even the invalid ones.

If you're really concerned, remove the link from your sig. Chances are it's just someone from this forum. It's irrelevant for this forum anyway.

Your probably being clickbombed by someone who knows your sites. Your not too smart so that is what is happening. We can tell you are not too smart by you just showing us your website niche etc... This is a big no no especially if your running adsense. Word of advice. Contact google and report this, temporararily disable all your adsense adds on site. Sit back and think where you went wrong and keep your mouth shut. Read the adsense tos and forums and then try again and at least you won't get an adsense ban for life.

Just looked at your site. You got first rate low quality content so you also need to adress this issue.

        Hi Troy,

        Thanks for the information.

I got a few questions, if you dont mind.

        1. What is clickbombed? Is this someone trying to be "nice" or someone trying to sabotage me?

        2. Why is it a bad idea to post my URL? I see lots of people post their site?

        3. Contact Google? How do I go that?

Just report this issue ASAP before you get penalty by adsense support group, if your account is banned before you report this problem, then it will be gone forever.

go and click the report issue link on top right corner of you adsense homepage.

      Hello.

I contacted Google via their Invalid Clicks form.

I checked statcounter. Most of the clicks came from one I.P.

      Why would someone do this?

Is this the reason people do not list sites in signatures?

its much much much more likely one of your competitors rather than a random dick on a forum like this

I doubt that. I doubt that because I see all traffic through Statcounter.

The only traffic the last 3 days was from Warrior Forum

ERGO someone attempted to destroy my Adsense Account.

One click, no problem. There was an IP that did 20+ clicks two days running. Was only on the site for a few moments.

I submitted information to Google. Disabled my adsense account.

Terrible that some unhappy slob would do this. Miserable people.

I had one of mine hit the first day i had adsesne on it...an unhappy competitor I assume
