What is better? singular or plural in the domain name?

Lets say for example...

If "floral design" gets 1000 searches a month and "floral designS" gets 1000 searches a month

would it be better to buy the domain name floraldesign.com: The Leading Floral Design Site on the Net or www.FloralDesigns.com to rank for both the search terms. is the singular domain name or the plural domain name better? Please let me know.

    designS would be better. You would have 100% matching domain for one of the keywords and ~93+% matching for the other.

    You know, search engine system evaluate the stems of the keywords, so the spelling does not play a great role here.
    My advise for you is to buy both domain names - singular and plural forms - and do a 301 redirect from one to the other. In this case none of these two versions won't be used by your competitors.

      Domain name with S at the end is better, so you buy it. It gives matches for two words floral design and floral designs. Means your site may rank for two different keywords.
