Very little traffic to new money site

Hey warriors!

I have created a money site for a new IM product I have purchased and am promoting. I decided to use <product name scam>.org as the keyword as these are highly targetted, hungry buyers (I think). My site is 4th on Google Page 1 however I'm getting very little traffic. Is there anything I can do except try to get to Number 1?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sanj

Did you check the traffic volume estimates for your keyword?

That's the problem with EMDs sometimes. Chances are you're targeting a keyword with very low volume (say 300 a month), waiting for your 10 visitors a day.

Unless your title and description are compelling, being 4th gets you less than 5% of the traffic. What is the traffic estimate for exact term you are ranking for?

You could be #1. So what? Real people must do real searches
in the real world. You doing a search for some unique phrase
is probably not going to cut it. But, it looks good as a parlor
trick and maybe you can sell the dang thing on flippa.

Ask yourself "Would I buy anything with my credit card via a domain name/site like that?".

    I wouldn't either...

Ranking #4 for "Product name" or "Product name scams" and how many searches does the keyword you're ranking for get?
#1 gets around 42% of all searches according or a report by Google.
And the percentage gets lesser and lesser as you go lower down.
So getting up to number 4 isn't enough depending on how many searches the keyword you're ranking for gets.

IM products are very hard to sell for even the best IMers with big lists so i would go with the advice by paugl and flip the thing. If you want people to buy IM products then they need to know you and trust you - in order to do that you need to work hard to brand yourself and even launch a few products and WSOs, etc.

Ive been down this road myself and I would say that you need to look at promoting non IM related products with decent search volumes. If you are doing SE0 then a No 1 postition in google for a KW gets you around 40% of the searches so when it gets to No 6 or 7 that drops down to around 5%

I would get a good tool like market samurai to help you do your homework with KWs - its not only the search volumes you need to look at but also the commercial value which is normally reflected in the adwords costs - then you have the competition.....

You didn't tell us the estimated number of searches. Also, everyone else here is right. There's a fairly significant difference between #1 and #4.

Yeah, I think you could try targeting some lesser KWs and try and get some link bating going on,

fortunately your main KW is in your domain so if people just link with your URL your rankings for your main KW should improve gradually.
