  • Here i've listed some On Page factors...

Set your canonical domain name for the search engines and users.
Optimizing all Page Title and Meta Tags (HTML).
    Interlinking pages.
    Creating Proper Internal Navigational Structure
Anchor Text Optimization: Optimizing all new internal link labels (anchor text).
Creating proper Heading Tags on each page.
Adding the proper paragraph tags to your content.
Image Optimization: Add Alt and Title attributes to every image with related keywords.
Creating a video page implementing Youtube videos related to your services.
Creating and submitting a Google/Yahoo/MSN sitemap of all your pages.
Creating proper footer links on each of your pages.
Registering your site with Google/Yahoo/MSN webmaster tools.
Design a blog for your website, then often update it.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has become a fine science. Tweaking, changing, and measuring is all part of the ongoing optimization process. SEO truly is a process that requires constant monitoring and attention. In order for a website to perform well, its managers and webmasters must adapt their SEO techniques as the search engine algorithms change.

    • If you are using wordpress then the All-in-one SEO pack will take care of almost everything you need to worry about for on-page optimization. There are several videos and sites with instructions on how to set this plugin up.

Also make sure you optimize your images as well with alt tags. As long as you cover the major stuff with on-site optimization you will be fine. A lot of people worry about the smallest details which may or may not make a difference, however I have never noticed tiny on-site tweaks that led to ranking improvements.

  • There are quite a few steps to optimizing your website for Google, but to start I would aim for keyword in URL, headers, description.

There is a lot more to it, but that would be a great place to start.
Also try to write decent length articles of 750 +. These tend to rank easier in Google in my experience.
