First off, I'm new to the forum and I'm really glad I found it, there are some amazing post here with a lot of great info.

Has anyone else had success with video adsense sites? I created several that are already on the 1st page of google and it's only been a week. I think it must have something to do with the videos being fed from youTube. Every site that I create with videos on them, get indexed within a couple of days. I know I should probably keep this secret to myself, but I cant.

The sites are working very well for me, I was wondering if they were working for anyone else. Being that the sites automatically get updated, I think helps them get indexed faster.

funnypugvideos.com google 1st page keyword "funny pug videos"
IdolHighlights.com google 1st page keyword "american idol highlights"
navelticklingvideos.com google 1st page keyword "navel tickling"
stupidcriminalsvideos.com google 1st page keyword "stupid criminal videos"

Sorry about the addresses not being links, being that I'm new to the forum I can't put live links in my post yet.

All sites are up less than a month. I've made sites for others that have gotten the same result in the same amount time. The only issue is the niche has to lend itself to video, which is not really a problem, there are tens of thousands of them.

    Thats the weird thing..

The video sites, with content scraped from YouTube, sure rank OK, but I have never had any success making adsense money off them.

What I have found that they are a great source of backlinks to my money sites, though!
On one adsense video site I have, its got 39,000 pages indexed in BigG and yet I've yet to make adsense money from it..

But that same site has give my 39,000 backlinks to various other sites..
    So can't complain about that

take care and best of success with your adsense sites

For me, a few dollars a day from each is all I want and need, especially being that the traffic is free. If you have 39,000 pages indexed and you're not making anything off of the traffic, you might want to try different color adsense ads. I changed the color of the title on the ads of one of the sites and the click through rate doubled.

The trouble I have is that I don't attrract enough visitor to my sites. I get plenty of Search engine traffic, but almost no human traffic.

When I happen to "accidentally" land on a video adsense site (VAS) myself, it pretty obvious to see that the content comes straight from YT and I immediate press tha back button.

I think is the case with most VAS's.
People are not dumb, they can pick a junk site as a junk site pretty quickly, no matter what templates you use.

But as I said, it great for link building.. Its a set it and forget options that does the job nicely..

        Take care

That's an interesting point. I don't seem to have the bounce issue you are having, the keywords that I chose are for people that are actually looking for videos, so my bounce rate is very low. As an example, someone that puts "funny pug videos" into google and clicks on my link has found funny pug videos, so they don't hit the back button. You've peaked my interest on your site, would you mind sharing the address? If you have a high bounce rate that would explain why you haven't made any adsense cash with it.

That is the whole essence of SEO, having your site actually provide information for the keyword that is typed in. Youtube gets 300 million video views PER DAY! In my opinion, video is the direction that the internet is going, at some point most websites will have some form of video on them.

I absolutely agree 100% with you!
Video is the future, but I honestly believe the video has to be an integral part of the site.

In otherwords, an article is written about some interesting article and then the video compliments the written text.

Most Video Adsense Sites (like the one's I have produced) are nothing but a list of videos about a topic withy a very meagure description about the video.

Most web visitors know about YouTube these days, and so once the see all the videos came from YT, why bother with a VAS site, just go to the source.

Just my opinion, what do you think..

In my experience, being that the site only has videos of a given niche, the visitor stays to look at more videos. Also seeing how often my sites are bookmarked would lead me to believe that the visitors like that the videos are only their niche. YouTube tends to bombard you with videos of all kinds.

Everyone has heard of youTube, but still millions of people go to google to find the video that they are looking for. "American Idol videos" gets searched for on google over 300 times per day, you would think those people would go straight to youTube. The same term probably get searched for on youTube thousands of time per day. Working niche sites is all about getting targeted traffic from free sources, being on the first page of google for anything is always a good thing. I made a golf video site, GoodGolfSite.com, that gets good free traffic because ALL of the videos are about golf.

    toddrobb,

I am impressed! I have wondered about using videos but never considered using them in a manner that you did. Little content and exploiting YouTube videos.

    Kudos to you!
