You can try doing tublr backlinks. Create a tumblr account (use the keyword that you want to target), forward it to your domain name. And click the "love" button..more like the "like" button on facebook. Then you will have a backlink to your site.

I am working on a very low budget. Practically close to zero actually. You can try out the free traffic system although most blogs are pr 0 but i do use it. Also you can try out a free article submitter like Ahsubmitter. It's free and makes your work somewhat easier.

try to use onlywire in your website, it can help you to get back-links to your website. as you are on a tight budget, i will recommend you to go for manual link building, that way you can save your money.

Use Google Alerts, and create an alert for a few keywords related to your site (choose blogs and forums). Each time you get an alert, go there and engage - you can get a comment or forum post with your link, if you play your cards well. Completely free!

Entering the unknown of dodgy scrapebox crap links that you may be sandboxed for. I would not do this.

Well you can do all backlinking manually, but it's a really terious process, but still do-able.

If you are willing to, you can write one article per day, spin it the other day and then submit the spun versions of the articles to article directories and web 2.0 sites like Squidoo, Hubpages, Wetpaint, Tumblr, etc. I recommend you spin to a good level so you get more value from your links.

You can also do blog commenting on your own. If you don't have money for Scrapebox, you can still find good blogs to comment on by using search operators, such as "your keyword" "leave a comment" or something like that. There's a ton of free information on WF on how to you them properly.

You can then submit to the blogs. Make sure your comment is on topic of the post, I would first read the post itself and only then write a relevant comment evaluating the article.
