I was going to cloak a link ON my landing page (not the landing page itself). Think it will get a red flag?

I figured I would use something like notlong or something less popular

    Hi,

You could redirect the link yourself using a php script on your domain. I would look into the adwords TOS regarding this to find out the real answer.

Please look into adwords terms of service, or even shoot them an email. I've found them to reply within 24 hours. You don't want to lose your business over one cloaked link.

Google will suspend your ad, not your whole account, if you do something against the TOS. They'll usually give you time to fix the offense unless you're really, really bad. If you're a repeat offender, that's when they ban you.

I assume Google can figure out you have cloaked links. But it's not the cloaking of the link that will get you in trouble, it's what happens when that link is followed. If not the robot then a human reviewer will eventually end up on your page. If your cloaked link results in a bridge page violation for example, you will be found out and be suspended or worse, banned.

I see cloaked links in comments all the time on Adsense gurus pages, maybe they look at comments differently.
