2 Keyword Domain Name?

I'm just wondering if it would be worth going after a domain that could include both a primary and secondary keyword (the secondary keyword still having considerable searches), which would make it an extra word longer, or just go for a primary 'keyworded' one, or am I looking too deeply into it? It would still make sense if it was made up of both keywords if that helps...

      I'm just trying to think of an example without having to give keywords away hehe

      Probably not the best example but if my primary keyword was "baseball" and my secondary keyword was "majorleague" should I simply go with baseballsite.com or majorleaguebaseballsite.com? I know shorter is usually better but is it worth sacrificing length for an extra keyword I suppose is what I'm asking. The secondary keyword is pretty much synonymous with the primary one yet each can exist separately and refer to the same niche. One other consideration would be that the secondary keyword would have to be at the beginning of the domain as in the example...

        I would go with what looks more natural. Sacrificing a good sounding domain name for that sake of a little SEO boost isn't worth it imho. You can always have your secondary keyword in the URL after the domain. It won't weigh in as much, but you can always remedy this with a few more backlinks.

        Now if the long domain sounds natural and you decide to use that, you have the little penalty that your domain name doesn't start with your primary keyword anymore. This means you will have to build slightly more backlinks for the primary keyword.

        Would be interesting to hear from someone who has made a test for this, with everything besides the domain name being equal.

    why many people believe you have to include your keyword in the domain name to rank higher?

    i've seen many website in google ranking first five but they don't include their main keyword in the domain name.

    putting keyword in the domain name can help you get higher ranking but it's not a must rule to rank #1.

      You don't have to, that's right. But it's easier to rank with those keywords domains, so it's understandable to me why people are doing it.

        Thanks for the replies, so it basically comes down to what sounds better, I guess that makes sense. I understand keywords in domains aren't an absolute must and far from guarantee rankings but at the same time It can't do anything but help. I also think it helps with CTR from the SERPS if the term being searched is part of the domain. Decisions decisions...
