Yes, social bookmarking is really help. it is a great and easy way to increase traffic and to be higher in position. There are a large list of 2.0 bookmarking sites available in internet.

Can anyone show me their social bookmarking page which has a high PR? I'm not talking about the home page of the site, their individual page.

Can anyone show me evidence that 100 social bookmarking links has more power than 1 contextual link on a PR2 or higher page?

Can anyone show me their traffic avalanche from social bookmarking? (Actually I do know an example myself, but it is in a very mainstream industry with tens of millions of people following the topic, not a normal IM niche.)

My point is simply this...Social Bookmarking should be part of your linking efforts but with these understandings:

1. The links are weak.
2. It WILL help your content get indexed faster.
3. It will not dramatically increase your ranking.
4. Do not expect a rush of traffic.
5. Do not expect sustained traffic.

If you are spending more than 15 minutes a day on Social Bookmarking you are wasting your time...at least that's what my experience tells me.

yea social bookmarking has been working good lately most people are stating the same findings, i just use a guy on fiverr each time 500 he does which is great, i use them on a fresh site before starting my regular link building routine

If you want targeted audience then social bookmarking is the best place. Facebook, Twitter, Stumbleupon and delicious is not just great they are awesome to manipulate the right audience and can make a chain to bring more targeted traffic by the time goes on. You can communicate with your audience and can make yourself updated with their want and can make your business fruitful accordingly.

Google up a list. Theres tons of huge ones floating around. Bookmarking is actually more relevant now than ever before. (Google had a recent "Freshness" update which weights them higher.)

Social bookmarking can help your site, or it can hinder your site or even get it de-indexed entirely. There are effective ways to use social bookmarks, and there are ways which can decrease your traffic.

I don't get what a lot of you guys are talking about. Social bookmarking used to be the main back link method I used to rank articles for low competition searches. Now I just make a few from Digg, Linked In, Delicious, Stumble Upon, Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus, and the social sites where I have followers, it sometimes gets me over a hundred views, even two hundred. To manually do more than that, like a hundred on sites with no followers would be a waste of time, you could get better results through many other methods. It is less effective than it used to be, unless Google has changed it's algorithms yet again, which they probably have.

Delicious is probably my favourite due to ease of use and can easily bookmark through toolbar (can't with Stumbleupon through safari for example).
