Hi,

I am planning to invest some buck in four SEO tools:

1. Bookrmark submission like Bookmarking Demon or any other

2. Article and press release submission

3. RSS submission

4. Wordpress SEO plugins

Could you please help me sugges which all tools should I buy and which gives the best result. Please answer if you have some experience with the tool you suggest.

And have anyone used Keyword Winner and SEOPRessor or Easy WP SEO

Do they work? Can SEO for Wordpress by Yoast be a substitute for either of the two? (this plugin also checks keyword optimization).

Need your expert advice on this.

Thanks
Bikram

Holy cow! I'd say scrap that list and start over!

That is not a list of SEO tools.

Spend money and time on optimizing your pages
    and getting backlinks. Good backlinks.

Plugins are not going to optimize your pages, although
many people have this thing for them. I think that's
what wordpress has done. It's turned people from actually
doing, and relying on some plugin.

A few manual tweaks are all that is needed, actually.

I won't make this a rant on how WP has turned everybody
    into a "webmaster"...

I personally would not spend a penny on any of those 4.

    1. Bookmarks? That's dead. Most are nofollow now. Exploit
    twitter and facebook. They're free.

    2. Instead of giving others content, keep your articles. Put
variations of them on squidoo lenses or other free websites
    that YOU control.

    3. RSS submission is quite useless. Instead, create a good blog,
promote it, and get REAL subscribers. That's where twitter and FB
    come in.

    4. Already addressed.

Paul, I agree with you on many points. Indeed its not tools that optimize the website, its you. But won't you agree that tools hep you do that faster and save your time?

I understand that buying stethoscope and glucometer is not going to make anyone a doctor, but for a doctor to analyze and treat the patient he needs these tools, doesn't he?

I am with you on doing it yourself, and WP may have made everyone a webmaster, but how is a bad thing? Some people may not like it because they are not confident of their talent, but others embrace the reach WP and other platforms have created.

I know you have been in this industry for long enough to realize certain things for sure. And I find it hard to believe that your years of experience has taught you that most of the bookmarking sites are useless and DoFollow.

I do SEO for my clients (one is in my signature, at the moment), and you will be, perhaps, surprised to know that newglobalindian.com get many visitors from social bookmarking website like StumbleUpon, Folked, Reditt, etc., every single day.

In the light of this should I consider it dead?

    1. For bookmark submission you can either use free tools like the famous Social Marker, Social Monkee (free version) or Only Wire. Or you can use paid tools such as the paid version of Social Monkee or Only Wire full version.

    2. Article submission - there are two great tools you can use to submit articles with, these are Unique Article Wizard and Article Marketing Robot.

    3. I use the Sick Submitter for this.

    4. If you are promoting Amazon products, then you should definitely consider buying the EasyAzon plugin. And yeah, under than that, I can recommend SEO Pressor.

    Hope this helps a tad.

Thanks Trev, I would have loved to use Socialmonkee, but spammers in India has forced that little monkey to disable registration for even legit markterers from India. The only way around is to ask someone outside India (may be in US and UK) to open a socialmonkee account for me...

and you suggested EasyAzon, what that plugin does? I have Amazon sites, but never used it.

Doing self-SEO is fine, but doing it all by hands is not a good idea for me. Won't it take a lot of time, which I can use to make SEO strategy? Any idea on how I can do better SEO without needing any tool and why such tools should not be used?

Quality content is fine, but using Google Adwords will hurt the bottomline. Don't you think its an expensive proposition?
