I have a movie review blog. I take 10 best movies of different genres like comedy, action etc and write 50-100 words about each of them. I write about movies from hollywood, bollywood etc. I don't put any trailers or images on this blog of mine, just the content and the content is 100% original.

I just wanted to know if I am breaking any copyright laws or something by monetizing this movie blog of mine through adsense. I mean, the movie names and these movies are copyrighted, right? So am I allowed to use google adsense on this blog to make money?

You don't break any rule, about copyright issues you just promote them so they should thank you and have no problem at all...

What you should do, is create a video review of the movie as well as a text version of it on your website. People are more inclined to watch a video review than read one when it comes to movies. Also if the review is about a minute long it contributes to reducing your bounce rate. Then instead of backlinking your website, backlink the video review as it's easier to rank due to it holding the weight of YouTube. Your video ends up at the top of Google on the first page and then add your website link at the very start of your description and add annotations in the video for another movie review of the same genre.

Ensure you embed the video on your site as well. If your wanting to dabble a little further you could always put the trailer of the movie at the end of the review as well once again with an annotation for another review of the same genre or popular movie release.

I am sorry I didn't understand what exactly you meant. Could you please explain again with an example maybe?

Well, why you think it is not allowed? you did not do any wrong and you will be permitted.

If I were to post images (let's say the poster of the film which i got from Google and put a caption on it from photoshop with "*name of the blogger* movie review", or a screenshot from a trailer with the said caption or a different text, let's say my grade for the film with a few friendly additional comments), am I violating any copyrights as well?

Also, what would be good alternatives for Adsense for a movie review site, just incase?
