Which kws should I target first? I am stumped

In a new niche I am getting ready to go at full bore, for adsense optimizing

I have created two domains they are up with wordpress on them and a sticky article on the main page, and both are aged one month since indexing

I have about 20 kws I want to target all in this niche
I have some that have about 5000 exact searches per month that have , the first few sites showing actually ZERO backlinks

Then I have a few kws that are 15000 searches which of course is better

One I found has 10,000 searches per month and the backlinks to the page
shows for the 1,2,3 positions on google ..........as 0,0,6 respectively

this would I guess be the best one to target first since it is the highest traffic lowest backlink combination...............

How did I find these kws? pure luck. I HOPE that soon other people dont start targeting them and then if I do get number 1 rankings soon will have to bust my butt to maintain them, but I guess thats a possibility.

These kws were extremely hard to find and I know I know its almost impossible to find kws with that high search traffic and low backlinks

btw the CPC on these is $3.50 on average, which I hope means they are good

There are a few kws that have 15,000 or 18000 searches per month EXACT local, and I wish these had such low backlinks but
well for example there is one with 15k monthly searches but
the backlinks showing on the first 2 sites is
11,and 96 backlinks respectively

Would you
if you were me , target about 10 of these kws simultaneously? and just spread the backlinks between them since the 15k/month search kws would probably hit number 1 (hopefully cross fingers) within 1-2 months, since even though their backlinks are considerably higher, they are still very low in comparison to most sites out there

or
would you target the ones with 0,0, on the top two listings showing for backlinks, and say well those should be WAY easier to get number one on............get those number 1 listings then after that go on to the harder more competitively backlinked kws (those are mostly ones with 5000 local monthly searches.

I am thinking if I do target those 0,0 ones, wouldnt it be smart to also be throwing up 40 to 50 backlinks a week on the more competive terms as well? so that those backlinks can start aging?

I like to target the long-tail pages first for quicker results from the site. Those pages usually link towards pages targeting broader KWs, which get a boost from those other inner pages. Continue down the line until you rank the toughest/broadest keywords.

I plan to take each of these major kws
    and Silo them

    In other words
    Classic Cars is the kw

    so that would have
    Classic Mustang cars
    Classic Corvette Cars
    60s Classic Cars
    70s Classic Cars
etc etc etc in Each Silo, all pointing to each other and back to "Classic Cars"

Hopefully after all the time I spent learning Silo STructure, this internal linking will pay off also

Well it will actually be on two domains as of now may add one more later
I dont want to put 20 silos on one domain

and Yes managing this with individual domains would be a big pain IMO thats why I chose to put 8 to 10 main kws on each domain, plus a lot of longtails thrown in

My question for this thread was this
If it were you would you which kws would you target FIRST
15000 monthly searches but the top 3 on google had 120, 100, 60 backlinks

or 5000 monthly searches but the top 3 on Google had 2, 1, 30 backlinks in that order

thats not exact numbers but just an example
should I target one kw at a time and wait for it to hit number 1? or target 5-10 kws at the same time and be building up backlinks and aging them as I go along

Do you own The exact match domains and if so are they available?

If so I would target them individually for the main keyword over say 5 pages get ranked for the main term then build the site out with longtail terms.

Either way they sound like real money making keywords.

I'm happy with keywords with 2000-3000 searches with my niche sites

Really If you plan on targeting all the keywords at some time in the future it doesn't matter which keyword you go after first. You'll have to do the same SEO sooner or later...

Go after the longtail terms first so you can establish some niche-based authority on your site. Then move your way up the ladder.

Ya I have my fingers crossed on these kws its just one of those flukes that slipped through the cracks so many kws with 5000, 10,000, 15000 exact searches, with very little competition and a high CPC on top of that

hopefully it will end up making some decent money also thanks all the comments and tips

If you're going to build a big site, and put a lot of effort into it, then here's what I'd do...

I'd pick one category, and let's say you were going to build 15 pages in that category. I'd build them out, and I'd make sure they targeted some extremely low competition, low traffic keywords, like 100 month. (I mean if you can find more better, but you get the idea).

The idea is you'll start getting a trickle of traffic from this. At the same time you'll be building up your silo.

Then I'd direct about 60% of my link building at my category page, 30% at my inner pages, and 10% at my home page. (I just made those up, so someone may have better).

This should help keep you focused rather than trying to build out 10 categories all at once.
