Deeplinks + Link Juice flow

Hey guys,

im currently working on a foreign language site and was considering to get some deeplinks from blogs, forums etc.

My question would be if anyone has a clue if a link to some inner page is passing on link juice to other pages of the website except those underneath it.

I mean from my knowledge i know that linkjuice flows down but is there a chance that it could pass on some juice to sites above or the homepage for example? ( no specific inside links to those except the navigational ones )

Im asking because i have to place my links strategically since good sites to get links from are very rare in that language.

Thanks in forward

Theo

I'm not quite sure I follow you. If you are talking about getting links pointing to various inner pages then that will yield ranking benefits. I've seen great overall success by building half to 60% of my links to my homepage and the rest to lots of different inner pages. It will strengthen your overall rankings.

Ya, your question is pretty confusing.

If you are asking if an internal page on another site is passing along linkjuice, then the answer is yes. But its all dependent upon how much PageRank that website has to begin with. If you are getting a link on some internal page on a PR0 domain, then it likely won't be all that effective. If on the other hand its an internal page on a PR7 domain, then you can bet there's some linkjuice getting passed along.

Now, if you are talking about whether you need to link to deep internal pages on your own website, then the answer is YES. Most people only link to their homepage and completely forget about all of the other pages on their website. Thus giving up a ton of pages that could rank and do exceptionally well in the search engines. Remember that each PAGE on your domain is a page that can be ranked in the search engines.

I guess i messed up with my english before.

What i meant is that normally most links point to the homepage and the pr/linkpower of the homepage is flowing as well to the different other pages of the website giving them more power to place their target keywords as high as possible in the search engines.

Now in the case that i do some deep linking will those links pass linkjuice to the rest of the site as well? For example, will the homepage benefit ( linkjuice wise) from a deep link in some 2nd or 3rd layer page?

The problem that i have is that i am working on a very deep-layered foreign language site and that forums, blogs etc are very scarce in that specific language.

So i must be very strategical with my link positioning and i was wondering if linkjuice is not only flowing down the layers of a site but if some sites above are getting some love as well.

Thanks guys i do appreciate the help !
