Will google hate me if I add 100 pages of content at once?

I have a 2 year-old website with about 10 pages. I just got 100 fresh, keyword-rich articles written (using separate keywords). Will Google penalize me if I add all 100 of them at once, each on new pages?

Nope but if you space them out over a longer time you get a freshness bonus in the rankings for a site that is constantly updated.

yeah agree....no penalty from big G..but if you have a wordpress blog and schedule the articles to be posted over time...like 3-5 a week....well that looks much more natural in googles eyes and will give you more google love...

Will Google hate you? Yeah they hate everyone these days unless you are a major brand...

Will they penalize you? Probably not...but who can really say these days with Google acting so schizophrenic.

Bottom line, do what you want and don't worry about Google. They're going to do or not do whatever they want and there's no way to plan accordingly anymore..

I wouldn't think you will be penalized, but as others have said, I would space them out.

From my own experiments I've noticed that G seems to like consistency. ie if you post 2 posts per week, stick at it. I compared posting with frequency of spidering.

IMHO If you dump 100 new pages of content all at once, then you are re-spidered a week later and there are no new posts, then the site may seem stagnant.

I guess my thinking was that it's a bit like having consistant link velocity when building backlinks?

I think. I might be wrong

space it out over time. You would be better off scheduling your posts to 2-4 times per week then all at once. It will make your site look more active and give you bonuses in the SERPs

For Sure it will, if you keep on adding 100 pages with duplicate content and meta tags, search engine would be marking your website as spam.

I don't recall OP every saying he was going to add 100 pages of duplicated content.

They wont index it all in 1 day so it really doesn't matter.

You might want to add more per day over time and up the crawl rate within GWT.

Google will penalize you if the articles are spun with duplicate content, redundant and keywords are repetitive or stuffed. However, if the articles are original and each article contains no more than one keyword spread throughout the title, copy and url... then Google will love you, IMHO.

P.S. I would "trickle-add" the articles to the site, so Google will continue to see your site as active and not stagnant.

What happens when I tried something like this was a heavy google dance, I added 50 articles at once.

First I began to rise in rankings heavily and then after that my rankings fell, overall they rose but still, im not sure if I want google to be dancing with me.

      Thanks

I'd do one post a day! It'll look like you are serious about updating the site with fresh content.

    No, you won't be penalized.

But there are benefits to dripping just 2-3 posts per day.

I noticed with one of my blogs that Google seems to like regular postings over time, the average being 3 to 5 new articles added per week. But hey that's just my experience

I agree on what the experts said.. You really need to post them slowly. Give days interval..

Posting a huge amount of articles per day is not good. that is why you need to submit them slowly. let's say for example submit 3-4 content for a day.
