I'm sure this went out to everyone, but I just got an email inviting me to meet the adsense team and spend like 3 hours with them (there will be more there than just me)

I RSVPd as they had a location within 3 hours of where I live.

So here's the deal, if you want me to ask any questions, and I get the opportunity to do so I will. Use this thread and I'll do my best to get answers.

Nothing stupid please.

So keep stuff on topic and I'm not asking "why are you banning accounts that have 1 page, no privacy policy, and no value" just fyi...

Questions To Ask:
-Tell me in plain english how to set up all the tracking so I can optimize better.

-What are you doing about click bombing leading to the banning of innocent accounts ?

-Is there any plans to better optimize individual campaigns? In other words, at the moment with Adsense you can ban urls from showing, but it bans the url for the entire account not just that website.

If you do get the chance I have always wanted to ask:

You lucky bugga! It should be quite the experience.

    1) Is there any plans to better optimize individual campaigns? In other words, at the moment with Adsense you can ban urls from showing, but it bans the url for the entire account not just that website.

It would be better to be able to optimize individual campaigns so we can ban urls which have no relevance to the sites they show on. If I have a website on dogs, I don't want ads popping up for shoes, but that being said, if I have a site which sells shows I still want to be able to display that ad.

I know you can turn off interested based ads dependent on the users browsing history, but that still doesn't stop non related ads popping up for individual websites I own.

The next question is completely optional

    2) How can I bribe my way to becomimng a premium adsense publisher .

eh! get them allow individuals to decide what type of ads to run on their website. It should not be decided based on the content of the site, because most often unrelated contents are being displayed.

I don't understand what you want. Do you want to be able to show a specific ad (say an ad about hosting) on a website about breast feeding?

If so, I think that kind of defeats the whole purpose of their model, and advertisers probably wouldn't be thrilled either...

Q: Why can't we have detailed Analytics per individual Youtube/Adsense video?

I can drill down to page level for my blogs individual pages & know how much each page earns with Adsense, it would be nice to have that same data per individual Youtube/Adsense video.

Q: Also, why we can't monetize mobile traffic with Youtube/Adsense videos?

Makes no sense considering Google owns both Youtube & Adsense, they have Adsense for mobile, what's the problem that we can't monetize that traffic per Youtube video?

I met the Adsense team at an event like this in NYC this past August. Had an interesting discussion with them about premium publishers who they won't admit exist.. so I asked some "purely hypothetical" questions and got "purely hypothetical" answers

Lol, I imagine it was like having a conversation with a politician.

They don't usually have to worm their way out of discussing stuff like that with publishers,so they were a bit stuttery about it at first.

I was invited to the Google HQ in Seattle a couple of years ago and it was a great experience! That time it was just me though, it was a personal invite, they gave me a tour of the offices and we had lunch, etc., got to meet some of the "behind the scenes" people so not what you are going for, although I get those emails too .

Anyways, I look forward to hearing how it went! I keep thinking I should go to one of those Q & A's one of these days, but never get the time.

Cool, I'm not a big timer, just want to go. They claim you get a 1 hour personal optimization session! So I'm pretty stoked about that.

Yeah absolutely! Anytime you get an opportunity to "talk with the hand that feeds you" so to speak, it is going to be worth the time. I would be excited too, like I said its something that I have wanted to do for a while but I just haven't had the time. I imagine it would be quite a bit of fun, a great learning experience and the Google offices are really cool!

I loved the Seattle office, in their front lobby they had a wall that has search terms scrolling down it constantly, I guess it showed what people were searching for as the searches happened, it was pretty neat. And a few of the offices were surrounded with some of those erector sets and stuff, it was too funny, I am not sure the G employees ever work, looks more like a field trip lol.

Either way, go in with an open mind and have fun with it, I bet you would leave with a lot of good info.

I have no questions, but I wish you good luck! I hope they really take their time to meet you and the other guys and answer your questions!

I might be working with the AdWords staff during my summer internship, but yet nothing is clear enough.
