The CTR Theme is a great theme. I use Clickbump and the Heatmap themes. Out of 94 website, I have an average CTR of 8.26 percent and this average is from July 1st through today January 22. The best performing ad for me is the 336x280 text ad by far placed in the center, underneath the article title before the content starts.

I hope this helps and is there anything else you would like to know?

Your CTR will depend not just on the theme you use, but your traffic. If you are targeting buyer intent type keywords with lots of advertisers targeting the same words you will get a much higher CTR.

My best performing CTR Theme-like sites have a CTR of about 25-30% (taking into account page views, this means that over half my visitors click ads on average).

25-30% CTR !!! Thats huge! i dont think that after this any one needs to sell affiliate product. Thanks for such a share.

I think I'm going to have to switch to CTR themes, though with the new google changes I might wait a bit.

CTR depends on ad placement and traffic nature.
For the same theme and same placement CTR may be different for different blogs.

I swear, some people will believe anything. CTR is HIGHLY dependent upon many factors such as keyword, niche, the professional look, quality of content, whether it is product related or appeals to searches with buyer intent, etc..

The theme itself may be optimized to put ads in good spots with good color options but other than that will not have a major impact on CTR. I've tried ctr theme and don't get me wrong, it's a decent theme but it made no impact on my CTR...at all. I tested it for 2 months (plenty of time to gauge it). Same goes for any other theme that claims to get you better ctr.

All you really need to know is optimal ad placement, which comes from testing, testing and more testing. It will vary from site to site.

I have some sites at 25% CTR and others at 2%. I have CTR, Clickbump, and others and the best performing ones are old html sites. Since the google updates last month across the board I lost 60% income, clicks and CTR's. I still have my old html sites doing the best and still averaging 15% CTR, however their ranks dropped and instead of 50-200 visitors a day they are down below 10.

I have sites that took a hit and I moved adsense below the fold and the traffic has come back but the CTR is down big time. I've worked harder the past 3 weeks trying to get SEO proper on the sites, adding new content, moving ads, changing colors, and everything I am doing is tanking. About ready to go back to the way it was, getting less traffic but more income, trying to make google happy is driving me insane.

With all that said, themes are themes, ad position is king and traffic is superman. What cracks me up is 2 days before I got hammered google sent me a message telling me to add more units on my sites because I was loosing out on money. Then they drop all the sites the next day. LOL

I am gonna go back to doing zilch, it worked beter. When you figure it out let me know, I am all ears.

CTR is not determined by........ok this theme gets 10% CTR, thats not how it works

    CTR depends on the niche
CTR can change drastically with changes in Color of the ads
CTR depends on how you place your ads and where and how many ads you place on the page (if I see too many Google ads I feel spammed and leave the page)
CTR depends on your PAGE, (is your page leaving them wanting more, so they click on the ads? or is the page so full of useful information they dont need to click on ads?)

I agree....few weeks back I purchased "adsense pro ultimate" Developer License for my clients and have received very promising results from them, they say they are getting some pretty decent CTR - around 4-6%!

      sounds great, isn't it?

You wasted your money on that theme!

Any FREE 3 column theme would do the same & look better.

Ok it is starting to look like some of you created your profile for the sole intention of promoting these so called high CTR themes.

I've already said this too many times but i will say again just in case someone new is here and is about to be mislead and persuaded into unnecessarily buying something.

There are literally hundreds of free themes with 2 and 3 columns that will give you the EXACT same ad placement options, colors, etc. as ANY paid theme. Your CTR depends MUCH more on many other factors like niche, keyword, search intent, content quality, over all appearance of your page etc.

Trust me people, I have tried them all. My absolute best results are from a very simple theme with 3 columns, a large ad block above content, a 160 x 600 text tower at the top of either right or left column and the default blue adsense link colors.

If you are expecting a super awesome WP theme to dramatically improve your ctr, go ahead and see for yourself, after you waste months testing and trying to figure out why it didn't perform you'll feel like you were duped by some creative sales tactics.

Just get a simple, professional looking 2 or 3 column free theme and start testing out the ad placement.

That's the reason I commented on almost 10 of the post that profilelinks spammed all about the same time this morning.

I get tired of reporting the spam day after day...
