PPC - Where to begin?

I've been running PPC ads on Microsoft Ad Network (I'm banned from Google Ads for past mistake) and have been spending hundreds each month with no real results.

I am figuring that I am doing it all wrong.

Is there a good resource to take me through the best way to set up a campaign/research and organize keywords, etc?

Yes, there is an entire video course on setting up Adcenter accounts. Go to the Adcenter Training center. Watch the videos for the course. Also get someone experienced with PPC to evaluated you landing page and keywords and make sure you have:
    * A clear, well-defined action you want people to take on your landing page (no confusion)
    * Your landing page looks good
*Your keywords are not too broad (many first time advertisers think they are being clever by going after cheap, really broad keywords with a lot of searches. This is not the correct approach!)

The best keywords are directly relevant and probably rather pricey. Bid high for positions 1-4 initially and your price will drop assuming your ad copy is not so terrible as to destroy your click through rate.

Start with the smallest number of keywords you need to fill your daily budget.

Pay per click is an Internet advertising model used to direct traffic to websites, where advertisers pay the publisher (typically a website owner) when the ad is clicked. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. Content sites commonly charge a fixed price per click rather than use a bidding system. PPC "display" advertisements are shown on web sites or search engine results with related content that have agreed to show ads. This approach differs from the "pay per impression" methods used in television and newspaper advertising.

As when you spend money on PPC you need to be careful for the keywords that been used for that ads and then only you can get results with this. And as with PPC, problem is that each time you need to spend money for getting results. And that may raise your expense.
So instead of that you need to use free methods of seo for getting results such as articles, blog, forum, social bookmarking and make use of social media with this, and provide quality content that can be useful for others. So this way you can get more results and more visitors without any expense.

Instead of spending your money to PPC first, you should look for someone who can coach you about PPC. PPC Ian and PPC Coach are two of the best coaches in pay-per-click marketing. I hope this helps.
