I cannot express how frustrated we are with adsense these days. We've of course opted OUT of "Ads based on user interest" for our entire adsense account (Allow & Block Ads > Advanced Settings) but we still face the absolute ignorance of google and how they handle google accounts. ANY user who is logged into their google account and who visits one of our sites is likely STILL going to be shown ads based on their "interests" because google enables this on a PER account basis... even though the setting to disable it is buried DEEP within your account and only "sticks" until the next time you log out / in again.
Adsense - FRUSTRATING!

So what is a company to do? It's absolutely pointless to serve up ads based on user "interest". If I just researched BBQ pits, I don't need to see ads for them on the IM site I am visiting. I NEVER click these ads, and my adsense stats shown that our visitors don't either.
So why then would google continue to operate like this?
Thanks for listening to my rant.
