Proper way to do KW research for Adwords with Market Samurai?.

So, im kind of confused as to what to look for in keywords with Adwords. For MS my settings are: SEOT = min of 30, Exact match, SEOComp is checked, Title comp is checked URL comp is checked, all of the Adwords boxes are checked as well (CPC, Adwords Value, etc). Would these be the correct settings to use, and then just look for keywords with a daily search volume of 500 or so? (long tail). I guess what im also confused about is the Adwords comp as well, whats a good percentage to look for?. For example the keyword i did a test run on had a 70% rate. I know keyword research for adwords is completely different from SEO so i want to make sure i do things the right way.

    For keyword research, SEMRush is the best option, IMO.

      Hi,

      So start the keyword research in phrase match than finish the research in exact match?. Also, whats the best volume of searches to look for?. Do i want low competition, and low search volume, along with a 1.00 CPC , or high search volume, low competiton and a 1.00
      CPC?. The settings im using in MS came from the "PPC Affiliate Rockstar" ebook.
