Hyperlinks in Scribd and DocStoc documents not clickable?

Hey Guys!

I heard that uploading PDFs of articles in for your keyword is a good idea for SEO. However, I don't understand how if the platforms supposedly do not let your links work in their internal PDF viewers. The links I had in my PDF aren't clickable when reading the file on both of these sites.

So, is this something brand new that has phased this method out? Or is there something I am missing here?

Cheers

  • You have to make sure you hyperlink the links in word before converting to PDF. If you just type a link it won't be clickable. (even it looks like it in word).

I know scribd links are clickable (or they were yesterday anyway).
  • It is the good technique submitting your articles in social content websites by converting them to pdf's but we cannot include the anchor text using keywords, just place links. I agree with Packerfan, if you include link in word properly, it will be clickable even in pdf's but in Docstoc it is not possible.

    • You can have it be anchor text, nothing wrong with that. At least at Scribd. I don't think docstoc is clickable no matter what you do.

however, these sites are very powerful for actually getting people to read your content and drive traffic if you have good stuff. So if you have something worth sharing, don't hesitate to use them.
