Yes sub-domain names can rank just like anything else can. Sub-domain names are seen as a different site although they are on the main domain.

Which ranks best ? The one that you market the best but sub-domain names have advantages that pages do not.

Press Releases are to be newsworthy and informative. If you are going to post a press release for the purpose of backlinks, do not expect too much but a spike in traffic for a day or 2 and then the traffic will be gone.

This is why your press release needs to be newsworthy. Authority sites will be more opt to re-post your news release and talk about it if it is newsworthy.

Thank you very much for your quick response.
That good news about my subdomains ranking just the same with goog on/off page optimization.

The thing is I only care about the back links from the PR sites...
Is it o.k to post the same PR (To be honest my article) to all the press release websites?

      Thanks again

You can post the same PR to all sites (some sites have different options though). I would advise highly against posting anything that is advertorial because most will reject the PR.

A PR again is to be newsworthy, the word newsworthy in internet marketing has different meanings depending upon who you talk to though.

From an actual release (although I removed the name)

xxx.com has released a statement in regards to their search engine marketing services. Their released statement said, "Recently, when we put up our new search engine marketing services, we have been getting approached by companies looking for business.
The above is poorly written and certainly is not newsworthy. The below is more newsworthy and will attract more of the authority sites for re-publishing.

1.Can subdomains rank to #1 Page on google?

    Yes

    2. Which rank best subdomain or page (xxxxxxxx. org/how-to-lucid-dream-the-secrets)?]How To lucid Dream? - The Secrets | Free Reviews[/url]

Depends of the topic of your main website, how many pages and keywords relate to the new page or subdomain you want to rank. You see if you have a good deeplinking method, and you link within your site to that page you want to be no1, you will have greater success if it was a /pagename than a subdomain with no content. But you can still rank the subdomain really well if you have a decent amount of pages and links going to those pages on the subdomain.

    3. On the backlink Syndication for press release do I post the same press release for to all the press release sites?

You can do that. Better success if its diversified, but still possible

    4. How not to spam with PR sites?

Like the other guys said, it needs to be "news worthy" no an ad.
