How are you doing your artifcle marketing? Are you following the syndication model, or are you simply posting your articles to the directories and hoping for the best?

The previous post brought up an important point. It is not enough to submit articles and hyperlink these to direct to your professional website. Every SEO strategy that you do for your business must be efficient in the sense that there are results.

I focus personally on SEO. This is my main traffic source. Some people call it free traffic, but I do pay for link services etc, so it's not FREE as such.
I am however also investigating PPC marketing as this is without a doubt the best way to scale up your traffic if you have the capital.

Yes, these methods consume a lot of time. I want some new sources more efficiently too.

It might be better to try concentrating on just one or two methods and getting them to work really well. I found that article marketing to be very hard work for the amount of effort put in but other people seem to say that they find it works well for them, so you might find that you are good at something in particular that others are not.

Have a good look into what you are doing and how you are spending you time. Could you spend more time on what is working rather than spreading yourself around? Remember the 80/20 rule - do more of what is working.

One more thought. I've found success in driving trffic is much easier working in large markets. I spent age in tiny little niches getting no traffic and then I realised there WAS no traffic! Please use a few of the free internet keyword and market research tools and find out if people really are looking for what you are offering.

And are they hungry?

Ezinearticles and Squidoo have worked really well for me. But I agree with John, maybe there just isn't enough traffic there.

As time has gone on, I have strayed more and more away from SEO. Now I focus primarily on:

- Social Media Marketing - Mainly Facebook Fan Page Marketing.
- Banner Ads - Investing some money into well-visited, popular forums, sites within your niche can be a great way of getting fast traffic.
- Blog Commenting.
- Participating in forums.

To me, I've gained faster results through investing in traffic sources.

*However - Make sure those traffic sources have indeed got popularity, high visits, and consistent user activity before investing your money.

Have you tried social bookmarking? This can bring you a decent amount of traffic.

I think the social networking and social media site are the most effective to get the more traffic for the website.

Getting traffic is not a big deal. Forms, blog commenting, social media, hubpages, squidoo lenses are great source of generating traffic but you have to makes sure that they do not increase bounce rate as if you have higher bounce rate, you ranks will for sure low down.

Making use of blogs, articles, videos methods be more helpful to get more traffic as they all methods which promote content and people always search the information on web. So if you have more content on your site then people will attract to it and you will get more traffic to your site. And with these methods, make use of social media will be more helpful to you as through social media you can get more people connected to you and your website.
