is AMR really working on its own?

Hi,

I keep reading left and right how wonderful and amazing and powerful and what not AMR (Article Marketing Robot) is and for a second I was just about to purchase it.

But then I thought to come here and ask if the program is really that good on its own. So is there any rabid user of AMR who tested this and can confirm or infirm if it's worth spending the money on AMR (especially with so many complaints about the program lately)?

By "working on its own" I mean if you start a new site in a decent competition niche, would you be able to rank it for the main keyword in #1-3 in big G, only by using AMR?

I know I have achieved this using solely BMR so using just one tool to rank a moderate competition keyword at 1-3 spots in Google is achievable, but then again, everyone knows that BMR can do this easily

So, is there anyone who tested the effectiveness of AMR out of curiosity? I'd like to know too

  • I doubt you'd be able to rank with it on it's own in a competitive niche, and definitely not with the standard list of sites you get with it.

    I run it almost daily and end up with "live links" from 180-200 unique domains in total after one submission. There are some with decent PR and many with low or no PR.

    It is a good supplemental tool and can be used in many ways but if you're planning on it being your only source of links you probably won't get very far.

    The same can be said about most tools/services, though.

      Moreover the success rate has has recently been very bad. I never get more than 50 successful live links.Would like to hear more.

      Those are pretty great results from your AMR submissions. Wish I could come close to getting those results. I've added thousands of article directories trying to 'up' the number of 'successful' submissions.

      Although I do believe AMR is a good piece of software, it can be frustrating when dealing with the high numbers of failed-login responses that are returned. It would be great to have a set 200 directories that would actually post your articles on every submission.

  • Most of the sites AMR submits to are spammy sites and are pretty useless. Even the bigger sites it submits to aren't going to pass you much link juice. These article directories in the most part have been devalued by Google so using their backlinks to try and boost your own SERP's is pretty much worthless unless you are in a low competition niche.
    You can use AMR in a different way though. If you get into article syndication, you can use it in a legitimate way to distribute your articles through a 'real' author account to perhaps a dozen or so websites which might get your work syndicated.
    But that generally involves writing a different type of article than the one I think you have in mind.
  • The submission success rate with AMR seems to have got worser recently. When I first got AMR last year, I usually got about 450 successful submissions and that was just with using the article directories AMR comes with.

    I added a list of article directories and the submission success rate was only about 200 with over 1000 failed.

    I think to get good results with AMR, you need a list of directories which hasn't been shared around the internet. I doubt you'd be able to rank well for a competitive keyword solely by using AMR though as too many links from the same domains lose value.
  • You Can do it with out any those "robots" and without any backlinks.
    Just choose your keywords carefully, write 1 or 2 over 800 word articles on static/home page and do on page seo carefully. I have done it 3 times, so its not such a luck.
    This is what you might consider before you buy any "tools" or write 100"s articles.

  • Personally I doubt it is. I bought it, used it, and didn't really get great results about a year ago.
    Most of the links don't even get indexed by Google.

    Personally I'd focus on something else, I certainly do.
  • Hey, I have AMR and honestly it's not that good. Most of the directories in the list are dead. Okay I thought, lets buy a list and import it. Got a lot of signups - over 4000. Start submitting my articles and got about 1500 submitted. 2 month later I decided to see which articles have been approved, the result??? just over 100.... And that's after doing quality spinning myself (I spun each paragraph, each sentence in the paragraph and most of the words)
    If you are looking into article submitter go with Unique Article Wizard. The only downfall here is that you have to pay for it on monthly basis as AMR only had a one time payment.
    If you are looking at one time payment software than just go with Article Bot, it's only $25. I haven't used it but I have other products from this company, specifically Directory Bot, Social Bot, RSS Bot and Press Bot and they do their job, so most likely you will be able to get same 100 approved articles if you use Article Bot

    • I've heard that AMR doesn't detect all directories which have approved the submission. Maybe some technical hitch prevents it logging in and checking all of them.

      Did you create an RSS feed out of your live links reports to submit to RSS directories to increase the index rate?

      Have you had a lot better success rate with UAW?

      You probably bought a list which many other people have downloaded so the directories have been bombarded with submissions. Its best to have a unique list.

    • I own about 6-7 Incansoft bots myself but I only keep them installed on my desktop cause I want to show off

      Never used them fully, except the RSS submitter which I use from time to time.

      Anyway, I don't know why everyone says how amazing AMR is (probably because of the ease of use) but you confirm indeed that the list of directories started to suck lately. So, AMR is gone then in what concerns me. As for UAW, I don't have this money yet. But I ordered several Fiverr gigs for UAW submissions over the last year and while the gig sellers were pretty popular/high rated/professional etc and delivered what they promised in their gigs, I don't think I ever got more than 50-100 approved submissions from UAW (and that despite the fact that I was promoting very popular niches like health, distance learning, or gardening and you would tend to think that one would really get tons of backlinks in these niches) And no, I didn't get them as trackbacks/pingbacks or whatever either.

      So UAW is gone for me too. I will see what I can do, I am glad so many SEO services and blog networks come and go almost daily. Lots of goodies to choose from.

  • AMR is have some issues today, even their sales website is down, seems like some update or big issue.

    Btw, many directories in AMR list are now dead or not accepting new submissions.

    Very low % of success rate and submissions are done to any category it wishes to.
  • It is not too great to hit your money site with but fine to hit your tier 1 sites with and get you some more link juice.

    Most tools have their place, just finding their right place is the key!!

    Still good for supplemental links and stuff. Not going to get you ranked for competitive terms.

    • I know that no backlink building tool can rank you alone for terms like weight loss, web hosting, online education, etc., but I never thought about these terms anyway

      When I started the thread I was having in mind terms like "external hard drive" or "plantar wart removal", "small area rugs" etc (you get the idea)

      But I doubt that I can rank even these terms using solely AMR. At least that's the general opinion of people who use the submitter.

      And like I mentioned earlier in this thread, I gave up the idea of purchasing AMR anyway, unless it soon comes with a revolutionary update or something.

  • I have been a fan of AMR, but it's in a pretty broken state at the moment. They released a new update a few weeks ago that basically broke it completely and then the author had real life issues shortly after and hasn't been able to issue an update yet.

    • Yea most of us users are still waiting for an update. The program has been crashing like crazy. However when it does work it is an AWESOME program and will definately improve your serps!

      I recommend scraping your own article-directory lists and loading them into the program, as the default database isn't that great though.
  • So the bottom line is AMR is only any good if you import a list? But to import a list you need Scrapebox which is extra $$$ if you don't already have it. You could buy a list from someone but that will have already been shared around the net and become saturated.

    Is there anyone who is selling unique directory lists? Or doesn't it matter if the list has been shared because there still will be a lot less people using it than the article directories that came with AMR.

    I've got AMR but its a nightmare now. It just crashes completely upon start up, its literally unusable.

    Even Google knows they're crap. Time to update tactics, IMHO

    Seriously though, I kind of gave up with AMR a few months ago. The software is great at what it does, it's just a question of whether it has much effect. My conclusion was, not enough to be worth using. For helping boost some low comp keywords, maybe, otherwise...
  • I have tried using AMR on it's own to rank moderate competition keywords, and from basic testing for a few months, it doesn't seem to be nearly as powerful as BuildMyRank. Not that it's a bad tool, but if you were choosing one or the other to use I would definitely recommend BMR. Hope this helps!
  • My opinion - software very buggy, but decent amount of links, but you need more than just AMR even for keywords with little competition
  • I have been using AMR and recently it has degressed in quality. It has lots of sites are PR 0 and International (non-English). Most of the submissions fail. In my opinion, look for other options.

    • Ye, that seems to be the general opinion lately about AMR

      Reading through all these replies and watching as Google emphasizes on-page SEO and social signals more and more each day, I have totally given up the idea of acquiring AMR, or any other backlinking tool for that matter. At least for a year or so until some major algo update gives backlinking extra weight again.

      Practically, Google eases our work tremendously as time goes by and I kind of like it already
  • You're at least a year to late. This is what always happens when something gets to popular. It gets spammed to death just like with scrapebox and xrumer. First mover is essential.

  • I like AMR, but I would never use ONLY AMR to rank a new site. Link building is all about diversity.

    • I know it is all about diversity. Actually, I heard it is all about diversity cause I haven't tested this myself.

      But to be honest, last year I ranked the home page of a website at number 1 for its main keyword only by using BMR and the page is still there right now

      So I am not so sure it's all about diversity
